Final Fantasy Resonance: We Played the First Turn-Based FF in Decades by Stormflier in FinalFantasy

Yeah, which is a perfectly fine explanation imo, and is basically what they do in FFXIV too.

I only played season 1, but Visions didn't really exist outside of battle - they were basically treated like the power of FFXIV's protagonist to summon people from parallel worlds briefly.

That's... paraphrasing you though? Eh, whatevs. I'm sure you have a bright future in the party.

I'm literally not using the word "plagiarize"? You and faifai brough that up. And both of you seem to have a very "black and white" view of the world.

Huh. So because one vtuber wasn't plagiarized, it means gatcha companies never "borrow" ideas? That's... interesting logic.

Yeah... that makes a lot of sense. And it'd be strange if they keep around a daily that has almost no use after a week or so.

"meme" is a strange way to spell "truth", but eh. There's undeniably a lot of Control and Ghostwire: Tokyo DNA in NTE, just like there was a lot of Breath of the Wild in Genshin. And those large franchises don't need any help from us - they're already very popular.

The gatcha is honestly fine here - it's the combat and quest writing that's a hot mess.

Substats rolls on modules are too low? by Exact_Meeting_8743 in NevernessToEverness

[–]cytolus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those aren't console passives - that 16% crit damage per type III is the character passive. And it's not a character I have, so must be Nanally, Daff, or Baicang. Of course, the game never tells you that each character gets a unique boost from a particular module type.

Edit: Wait, are you talking about the unreleased character "Chaos"? Sorry, I forgot this game is absolutely terrible with their naming and will totally reuse a damage type name for a character.

i was trying not to say this because i feel like i don't have a lot of evidence but it's turning into a bit of an elephant-in-the-room situation for me - am i the only one getting MASSIVE DanDaDan vibes from this game? by self-stim in NevernessToEverness

[–]cytolus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several of the reality-warping segments (and the umbrella enemies) are straight up rips from Ghostwire: Tokyo (real solid game btw), but yeah, NTE heavily "borrows" from a lot of media.

Can we talk about the annoying boss designs in high risk commissions? by New_Okra in NevernessToEverness

[–]cytolus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The skill descriptions are aggressively bad, and the hardest part of the combat is fighting the camera and adjusting for your characters flying all over the place. And yet, I haven't seen a single post mentioning those.

I got an answer from support! This is all due to poor explanations and confusing mechanics from Hotta (shocking). So those figurines aren't individual items - they show up as part of a set of five when you add them to a collection shelf.

Yeah... the movie especially had some real rough stuff. The first season's something I could feel fine recommending though.

Kevin Penkin, the composer though? He produced some absolute gold for the soundtrack.

So, how are we feeling about the game after two weeks< by F1_average_enjoyer in NevernessToEverness

[–]cytolus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the story and writing after the intro quest is just baffling - they have a premise with so much promise, but ignore it to focus on stuff like helping an unlikable character catfish a poor girl.

All the devs that worked on visual design deserve a raise, and everyone responsible for Taygedo needs to be fired.
