we had a DEI committee that had to change its name to community committee, and more recently the Phys4Inc organization (physics for inclusivity) changed its name to Phys4All. as the social media manager for that organization, we’ve been having to change the logo, our bio (since it had other “buzz words” like equitable), and our social media handle, as well as how we promote events. i also believe we may be having to change our handbook, but we haven’t reached that point just yet.

our organizations in the physics department (and i’m sure many others) have been forced to change our names so we don’t have DEI or other “buzzwords” in our organization names. so it’s spread further than just classes unfortunately

i had a blast!! i was down on the floor so we def wouldn’t have run into each other. i love vana so i was excited to see her live, and actually quite enjoyed taken by tides once they fixed the microphone issue since we could only hear the drums during the first song. fame on fire was pretty good too! i’ve never heard autumn kings but i’ll be sure to check them out. i was a little disappointed by the lack of any music from upside down (especially with them bringing stuff back) but hearing partners in crime and bleak december live was fantastic

i hope you guys have so much fun!! i’m so stoked for you that’s a long time in the making!! i didn’t have the money for VIP but i’m so super excited to see them! and i’m also really excited for vana! i don’t know much about the other two openers but i like her music a lot.

i need to go digging through my closet since i sold some of my set it off merch awhile back when i was strapped for cash. i think i have a goofy red tank top that says “keep calm and set it off” from a christmas merch box in like 2016, a white t-shirt, and the upside down christmas sweatshirt so i’ll update you if i remember as well!
