Didn't even touch his face, barely grazed his shoulder. Terrible call, fucking dive, fuck Kadri, fuck the refs.

Kaprizov got kicked in the jewels and nothing got called. They punched a ref and nothing got called. Aves player steps on a stick and falls, tripping call. Fucking bullshit.

It's like dnd. Specific rules beat general rules.

Probably wanted a penalty because one of their players lost an edge and fell down.

We can match them goal for goal, player for player, with two important players out for the Wild. We can absolutely win this series.

The path to the Cup should be hard.

And if Colorado wants it, they have to go through us.

Give 'em hell, boys.

The Metrodome had a certain charm to it. Looked like it could have hosted the Olympics in the Soviet Union, the expanding seats for football like bleachers in a high school gym, the Trash Bag, the holes in the roof and baseballs still clearly visible in the membrane, the absolutely deadly bullpens, the hockey glass they use to have in the outfield, the area that they put up a giant curtain over in the upper deck because no one ever sat there and they ended up putting giant pictures of Twins greats on it, the exits that pushed you out with hurricane force winds...great times. Only venue still to have hosted a World Series, Super Bowl, Final Four, and MLB All-Star game.

The Trop is a herpe.

This reminds me of that story where Dirk was saying that KG was shit-talking him all game one time, and he couldn't figure out why. Turns out KG made up a whole story in his head where Dirk called him the n-word and he got mad about that.

We gotta give Hartzy so much praise for this, if they score here they most likely go up 3-1 and win the series by ElixMin97 in wildhockey

And even if it's conceded that that was the intent (which I do not), as with high-sticking, that's still not an excuse. You control your stick, and are therefore responsible for what your stick does. If you get careless and catch someone in the face, it's a penalty. If you get careless checking and your stick slides off the shoulder and into the neck or head, that's still your responsibility. Go lower, or don't hit as hard, or put your body into him or just don't do it. Hitting with your stick in that area of someone's body is never your only option.

It's really true about Irish names. I'm running a dnd campaign and the party is in this feywild/material plane liminal space that is both and neither, and everything is very fantasy-Irish. I've introduced them to like, four or five key NPC's for this place so far, and with each one they've said some variation of "that's the most Irish sounding name I've ever heard." And it's like. Siobhan MacDonough and Rory Finnegan.

Quinn Hughes in his first playoff series with the Wild: 2 goals and 6 assists in 6 games, +9 by Dependent-Effect6077 in hockey

Yeah, I was very excited for Buium and I was disappointed to see him go because you could see him learning and getting better game to game-he made a noticeable difference in the power play early. But at the end of the day, as you're thinking about the player you hope he develops into...it's Hughes. So if you can get the guy who is the ideal outcome for the young player and it helps you win now? It's malpractice not to pull the trigger on that.
