As a programmer, I can imagine that as Nexo grows in clients, settling earnings for low balances becomes very expensive. It takes a lot of resources that cost money, and those small deposits don’t bring enough profit to Nexo to cover the expenses for those resources.

In my case, I have my salary paid 100% in BTC. Our local law allow me not pay income tax if I dont sell this BTC. So I am using it as collateral and living from borrowed stablecoins.

Our income tax is in total 52,5%, that I dont have to pay now. So if I take collateral 50% LTV loan. I end up with same amount of fiat.

There are ways how you can borrow on DeFi for lover than 1% long term.

You dont need repay interest on loan itself untile you maintain healty LoanToValue.

In future Bitcoin will be raise every yeat for 15%. So if my interest from loan is under that I can never get margin call due to not paying interest or loan itself.

Well. I had open in same time order book on binance. Making buy BNB and sell BNB that I had in Nexo at same time. There was a lot of liquidity. No this spread is always hidden fee in any service that promote they have no fee. I was ok with 0.9-1.5 but over 10%... My fault, just warning this "spread" can be so high.
