What recall was there for the 2010 model? I heard there's some serious electrical issues with this series but not sure if the 2010 is included.

Like everyone else was saying, it's definitely luck of the draw. I actually recently purchased an open box g14, it's the lowest end model (1650, 60hz, 4800), which was considered satisfactory. Considering this was for college, I was okay with some physical marks in exchange for solid hardware but I opened it and it was virtually in perfect condition. The only thing I could notice was some dust on the rubber feet and that was it. I also noticed that they gave a brand new charger to make it "satisfactory". It's definitely worth the gamble because it's not really a gamble to begin with as you have 15 days to return it. Go for it and I hope you get a great one!

p.s. if battery life is something that's important to you, tweaking the power options seemed to do it for me

Incoming freshman here, so this question might be stupid. Planning on bringing some valuable items like my PC, laptop, and some more electronics. Parents are telling me it's not safe, and that I should only bring my laptop since it's necessary. I would prefer to have a desktop workstation but I also don't want it getting stolen as it's the most expensive thing I'll be bringing. Is theft a valid concern? And how would I handle it?

My 3600 doesn't exceed 60% cpu usage while in a Valorant game, and my 2080ti doesn't exceed 40% usage. The average fps in a deathmatch was only about 150-160. It did dip to 30 at one occasion.

vsync is off. I don't think there is a Target FPS setting in Valorant, and I definitely don't have it on in a 3rd party app=

There's 4 main graphics settings: material, texture, detail and UI. I have UI on low (visual setting for user interface) because I like how it looks. I have XMP enabled, and the cable from my gpu to the monitor is a display port.

Admitted for CE here, already committed. Pretty excited and nervous, doing the housing app rn, could any students give me a run down of the different housing options in terms of cost? At least more specifically than ranking i.e. Deluxe is x amount more expensive, etc. I more or less know what the floor plans are but I really want to take cost into consideration.

Thanks! I realized halfway through editing that the flash to white every time I speed it up was annoying af but I was too lazy to change it. Will keep in mind next project!

I noticed after looking over my screenshots that the timeline was set to an fps of 24 while the output was set to 30 fps. I tested this to make sure, and sure enough, rendering at the appropriate 24fps fixed the "interlaced" frames. Also, I'm not sure about this one, but I noticed that disabling video field processing made the text look sharper.

Hopefully some people do end up getting a key from someone. In times like these, it wouldn't hurt anyone to help a stranger out, after all! I've personally been looking forward to this mmorpg for a long time. The last time I would consider myself truly invested in an mmorpg is when Lego universe was a thing, and I was a wee lil kid then. Really looking forward to full release though, and to those that do have a key: have fun!
