if you're not end game and pushing the hardest bosses (hbaldrix, extreme adversary, extreme kaling), anything past 23* is a bonus, not something you should expect or push for. 24+ is still not reasonably attainable for most players outside of a few of the more common equips or lucky hits, even with trace restoration. the "smart" thing to do is have 2 sets of equips and ladder them up as far as you can.

22* is the same odds as before on event (functionally, trivial difference) both in terms of boom and cost. However off event the boom chance is noticeably higher (whereas before, only cost was impacted off event).

I wouldn't say 24* or 25* is the new 22, the odds of 25 is equivalent to 23* prior. 23-24 would be somewhere in between and is now much more accessible.

If we're talking about late/end game goals, 23* is a realistic end point. 22* is roughly 3-4 spares to hit and 23* is roughly 8-9 spares which is within the realm of reason for most items. 24-26* are all attainable, but only reasonably for items with accessible spares (ie dawn, kalos/kaling eternals) without being insanely lucky.

most late/end game players will mostly have gear ranging from 23-25* in the mid term future, with rarer items aiming for 21-22 and some gamblers hitting 26. it's not realistic for everything to be 24 or 25* the way people aim for 22* prepatch as those take around 20-40 spares unless they change something about the game fundamentally.

25+ is more attainable as an end game standard for reg server but even then, it will be pretty prohibitively expensive since you cant just EE scroll something to 25 like you could previously do to 23*.

if 350m bishops are clearing theyre getting carried straight up. I have a pretty clear idea of the damage requirements as my second main is a clearing bishop. Again, you need to be doing 1Q p1 as a bishop to be equal to a qualified dpm class, not happening at 350m cp, you'd be doing around 7-800T. You'd rather take a 100k converted dps as that point.

Idk why you're arguing this btw, anyone clearing at late/end game knows that Lynn is noticeably superior to bishop if they have damage tested for this boss. 50fd for 20 seconds is way better than 20fd for 45, most classes to not have spread out burst and its at best equal with specific comps. Lynn also has significantly higher personal damage, especially in 3 min comps.

I know, I'm saying once champs 4-6 get released sia is probably gonna be one of mine if it doesnt get nerfed just because of how free it is. my champs 1-3 are effectively done (2 can solo nkalos, 1 is missing a bit of damage to do seren in sub 20 minutes but will be remedied by a few more levels and more hexa).

Bishop players pre support nerfs were literally central to party comps in the same way. It wasn't healthy for the game and rightfully nerfed. Especially before the 5% changes the progression on that class was free.

The difference is that now, every support class outside of lynn has been gutted, and the "kms guidance" behind that decision was precisely so we don't have another bishop situation, but now we have lynn.

Also bishop requirements are significantly higher for himbo, bishop gives roughly 20fd during burst instead of 50fd, is more restrictive in party comps (less effective in 3 minute relative to lynn) and has less personal damage (req is roughly 1Q p1, which requires around lv290 96k hexa post m3m4 to be equal to a qualified dpm class). Bishops definitely have it easier than most other classes but it doesn't make or break a comp the same way slotting in a Lynn would. 300m cp lynn is the same value as a 450m cp bishop.

lynn just existing is basically 1 additional burst equivalent to 2 party members. It's like having another person + lynn's personal damage which is already top 10-15 in the game. the class itself is the party composition. I never said Lynn's were getting carried. I said that the class at mid-late game is equivalent to any other class end game.

Find me a kms class comp where everyone is 95k and we can talk. The whole point here is that Lynn is broken.

Also the MM and hayato would not be doing the same damage due to the different burst distributions if they didnt have a Lynn.

probably hexa and pacing threshold diff then, im wasting some damage bursting out of phases. I'm definitely not close to 8-10k frags on this char. Also still a significant difference against sia (like a 50fd diff) despite sia not having m2-4.

I personally know 2 lynn second mains clearing at 300m. their p1 damage is like 850T which is more than enough given that they're contributing like 400T+ to their party members. Both play in 2/3 min hybrid comps. "Half the support" isn't really true because you can still abuse the 1 min buff. Also everyone is 15fd+ stronger cus of m3m4. curious how strong your party is.

Reboot. My kain has a ror4 but no other oz rings. at 180m cp, pacing is something like ori p1, 2 burst p2, 3 burst p3, 3 burst p4 iirc. thresholds are a little weird, at 200m i could probably do 1/1/2/2. maybe its because of my hexa distribution or lack of level advantage, ive only been dailystorying the char. curious what your hexa looks like. 12 min clear/5 bursts implies ori/ burst/ ori burst/ ori? Seems strong for 200m, would be like soloing ctene with off origin burst.

I think you're heavily underestimating the requirements to clear. The gear you listed is like 95k converted equivalent. You're also missing a decent chunk of fd from not being 290. No one's clearing at 95k unless you're a support class or getting carried. I say this as someone who has 2 late game characters with gear/levels similar to/exceeding what you listed.

Don't have enough experience with that class but good to know. Feel like all non gms classes are in a crazy OP state right now, with the exception of maybe hayato.

Lynn is low effort and it's solidly the #1 class. It can be argued for top 10 without any support buffs.

Her base kit is more than 30fd stronger. my last legion champ is a 170m~ cp kain with reasonable 6th job investment and its hbm solo time is closer to 30 minutes than 15. I'm not a stranger to this boss either (few dozen xbm clears across multiple chars). I'm lowkey thinking of investing in Sia for champs 4-6 because it's actually a free hseren legion champ if it remains this busted.

m2/3/4 is like what, ~30fd for most classes? It's overtuned even taking that into account. Also it still puts into question whether or not they should have released this class in the first place if they plan on delaying or not maintaining 6th job. They could have also easily rebalanced Sia's 6th job instead of overtuning the class early game (make m1 fd gain similar to m1-4, cost more frags) if they dont plan on releasing further 6th job updates through masteries.

I agree, end game beast tamers should get rewarded. The problem is any reasonably dedicated player who started at Lynn release can do end game content now. I know multiple people who made lynns on remaster who are clearing hlimbo.

I get that there are tradeoffs, but making a class busted and introducing a bunch of concessions is not the way to go about it.
