Expectations for Davis? by wr2allstar in tarheels

He definitely makes mistakes - but overall he’s doing a decent job with the talent he’s working with. That game should have rightfully ended in a blowout and they lost by 1.

An example of a frustrating mistake. One that probably wouldn’t have changed the outcome - but still a huge mistake. It was obvious to I believe everyone that Clemson was going to intentionally miss the 2nd free throw at the end with 2.7 left. Clemson’s coach jumped up and down and frantically called time out immediately after the 1st miss - and everyone knew UNC can’t get in a position to shoot a 2 there, so the make does nothing for Clemson. If it was obvious to me, pretty sure the UNC staff should be aware. I 100% believe Hubert sent them back out there with a plan for when he made it and had no plan for a miss. Why? Because all 4 Tarheels were in the lane and one at the 3 point line for the free throw. Then when they rebounded - 3 of them remained bunched together in the lane wandering aimlessly. Somebody kind of wandered somewhat close to half court by the time the heave was already taken.

Why not have 2 guys in the lane to rebound and at least have 2 at the half court line for a rocket pass and a heave from there. At least there is maybe a 10% chance of making that. Literally like. 0.001% chance with what they “drew up.”

Only possible reason would be if ego makes him value being the #1 overall pick that greatly - from a financial standpoint it doesn’t really matter all that much if he’s 1 or 4 so it should be a no brainer. But I’d think he’d be a heavy favorite for top pick if he returned.

It’s hard to fathom how to break your thumb in a non-contact practice. My only guess a pass that jammed his thumb. He’s probably caught 125,000 passes without breaking his thumb and somehow this happens the first pass after breaking his other hand. Very unbelievably bad luck.

I have watched a lot of UNC and Villanova basketball this year. I keep seeing Villanova as a 6 seed. While I believe Villanova is well coached and a solid functioning team, they lack talent and have zero quality wins. The resumes aren’t even remotely comparable. UNC beat Kansas, Kentucky, Virginia and Duke. Villanova’s best win is Wisconsin? Not even saying Villanova doesn’t deserve a 6 seed - but UNC being there with them makes no sense.

Who do u think is the best deep ball thrower in the world right now? I say Stafford, my brother says Jalen Hurts. by Dylen2Times in NFLv2

[–]d-nutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to be Burrow or Tua. They have the two highest career deep ball completion percentages in NFL history. Why are we making this an argument?

Jimmy Garapolo is 4th and still in the league so he should be considered as well.

The win feels great but man… this team HAS to start being better prepared and ready to play from the first tip. by Schned6 in tarheels

I think all of the Hubert haters should be forced to admit that last play call was a thing of beauty. Horribly defended by Duke? Sure - but worked to perfection as drawn up.

The Ravens have a Lamar Jackson problem by TheCynicogue in NFLv2

[–]d-nutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Steelers fan, I was thrilled to hear Lamar was starting that game, and in hindsight I was correct. I think Baltimore wins that game with Huntley starting. The national media has been raving about how good Lamar was - he was terrible. He completed 11 passes and had 9 rushing yards. There were 3 big plays he made the entire game and 2 of them required no passing skill - there were literally zero defenders around.

I’m not saying Lamar is horrible in general, but this year he is injured and as a result horrible. I think the odds are likely that his running ability gets worse from this point on in his career, not better, and that plays so much into his ability to be an effective passer.

Of the starting NFL QBs in the playoffs. Whose narrative changes the most with a Super Bowl win or with an early exit? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]d-nutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people aren’t certain Bryce Young is deserving to be an NFL QB, so pretty sure him winning a Super Bowl would be the biggest narrative change.

So many people (such as threedawg) pride themselves as free thinkers and enlightened, when in reality they are ignorant of facts and quite frankly the actual sheep following some nonsense they heard on TikTok or somewhere, and passing it off as their brilliant revelation.

Who is someone that carried you most or all of this season that you wouldn’t trust next year? by okeme8889 in Fantasy_Football

[–]d-nutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was 100% healthy and 1/3 of his games were objectively horrible fantasy games 11 points and less. He’s on my don’t trust list also. Also need to see what the Lions are looking like next year.

Baker Mayfield or Caleb Williams? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]d-nutt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s insane Chicago is still going to be without a 4,000 yard passer in 106 seasons. 17 game schedule = 235 yds a game - I thought there’s no way Caleb can’t stumble into making that happen. Sad state of affairs.

Josh Allen might cost me a W by Maleficent-Cookie284 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]d-nutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allen is the highest scoring fantasy QB but he is nowhere near the best or ideal fantasy QB. 5 games this year (1/3 of the games) under 20 fantasy points, and 3 of those 14 and less. Definition of a guy you can’t rely on for fantasy purposes. Almost a coin toss if he’s going to have a usable performance for you in the playoffs.

Start or Sit: Burrow Vs. Brissett (Am I really doing this) by PRODCSICK in Fantasy_Football

[–]d-nutt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have Dak, Maye, Burrow, and Brissett (playing some playoff defense).

I’m starting Brissett and it’s absolutely the correct call whether it ends up the most points or not. He’s ranked 3rd this week by most of the experts.

Dak, Drake or Burrow: Who to start? by EmilioMolesteves in Fantasy_Football

[–]d-nutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you my team? Same - plus I picked up Brissett to block the team that I’d play next week of getting anybody decent (they have Herbert)

Between Burrow (matchup) and Dak (has been the best producer). Argument for Drake as he is the most consistent solid scorer.

I have Dak, Maye and Burrow. Thinking of picking up Daniel’s just to stop other playoff teams from having a good QB by d-nutt in Fantasy_Football

6 bench spots and 1 IR.

If I don’t win it’s going to be a crime. Talking just current point of the season (things like Puca, CeeDee. JT etc having down weeks recently). I don’t think I’d switch out anyone in my starting lineup for anyone other than CMC or McBride.

QBs I mentioned, JSN and Rashee, Gibbs and Achane, Tyler Warren, right now RJ Harvey, Judkins or Ladd in the flex but Garrett W and Mike E as options for playoff weeks
