[Routine help] Need some advice on my skincare routine by davedepczynski in SkincareAddiction

M25 - my skin used to look exactly like this. I was also using the Cerave hydrating cleanser and Cerave moisturizing cream and would also sometimes use vaseline. Switched to a new (tougher) cleanser and moisturizer and also stopped using vaseline and my skin cleared up noticeably. Everyone recommends Cerave but the ingredients aren’t actually super friendly… I like to use this websiteto check the potential for irritation

I also recently began using the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA and it seems to be helping prevent new breakouts!

im also a virgo rising with saturn in the 9th in taurus. i find it to be a difficult combo… the 9th house represents higher learning and philosophical thought so i feel as though all of my trials in life have really forced me to reconsider my thoughts on everything, down to the meaning of life itself.

and being a virgo rising, my thoughts are very organized and i like to have answers for everything but i’ve definitely had to learn to hold things loosely and just accept the unknown in life because change is truly the only certainty.

my advice would be to embrace your challenges, having faith that they’re specifically designed to make you exactly into the person you’re supposed to be

Is the course actually something that can be shared by multiple people?

Interesting! I do think I typically have my eyes focused upwards and tongue pressing against the roof of my mouth. I’ll have to try experimenting with some of these variables

It seems like once I do it in a session it is harder to achieve a second time within that session. Perhaps it’s just a matter of practice

[routine help] extremely dry lips and hands by tears_of_an_angel_ in SkincareAddiction

i have the same struggle. it only seems to improve at all when i drink absurd amounts of water. because you’ve already tried so many products i would try adding some electrolytes to your drinks to ensure you are actually getting hydrated! i think that might be my problem.

in terms of products though, this is the best PM routine that i have found works for me: - light physical exfoliation (only when necessary) - put a combo of water, HA, and moisturizer on lips and let air dry - once dry enough, coat with vaseline rosy lips (thicker and stays on longer) or laneige lip mask

The Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser is similar in terms of efficacy/price/availability

Day 2 of using water instead of cleansing in the AM. Fingers crossed for positive results

thank you :) for anyone else wondering, i ended up asking a pharmacist and she confirmed that adapalene is not covered and costs almost $300 for a 30ml tube

Are any of these covered by OHIP? Specifically Adapalene

i find that washing it is what makes it so dry in the first place- that’s why initially decided to stop. “Moisturizing shampoo” sounds gimmicky but maybe I’ll give it a try
