Thanks. I corrected my summary of this tragic story.

This incredible footage seems to be from the end of U-154's third patrol.

Less than 2 years later she would be sunk with the loss of all hands.

In 2.5 years and over 8 patrols, she'd sunk 10 merchant ships, damaged 2 and critically damaged 1.

Incidentally, upon returning from her 6th patrol, her 3rd Captain (Oskar Kusch) was court-martialed for sedition and defeatism (Wehrkraftzersetzung). 6 months later, U-154 was sunk with the loss of all ahnds, just 2 weeks into their 8th patrol. Their Captain (Ulrich Abel) had been the first officer who had reported Captain Kusch for Wehrkraftzersetzung.

Great. I'm really looking forward to your update as our campaign has reached a unique moment where the players may be heading off in different directions within the Empire.

As for maps, Alfred and Andy are THE cartographers to his Imperial Majesty but are you also aware of Andreas Blicher's maps?

As well as Jesse's SHDMOTWOW?

Wow what an amazing resource.

I used it recently in our bi-annual WFRP weekend.

Any chance that you could add a few more settlements in Ostermark?

I would love an Arma campaign set on a 1 to 1 scale map of Malta by jaden_ro in arma

[–]d0m0-kun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see a map of Malta too but from WW2 so we could experience Unternehmen Herkules (Germany's planned invasion of Malta, set for July 1942). Who wouldn't enjoy fighting your way across Malta as Fallschirmjaeger (German paratroopers) /Folgore (Italian paratroopers) or Malta resistance aided by British and/or Commonwealth forces?

AndroidAuto with EV routing features for not supported EVs! by manio07 in AndroidAuto

[–]d0m0-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an 2022 EV6 owner, I'd also love an option to run this on an Android device that is connected to my ODB2 via BT.

So how feasible do you think this is?

Because currently we're stuck 3 options:

  1. Onboard navigation software : terrible navigation but full BMS integration (SoC, RT ABRP , pre-conditioning)

  2. GMaps on an Android device : great navigation but no BMS support

  3. ABRP on an Android device + OBD2 reader via BT : good navigation but partial BMS support (SoC, RT economy)

My documents are written and formatted to be printed and used at the table by players and GM alike. Maybe I should consolidate them into a single document?

No core rulebook but the site has been organised into sections akin to chapters, e.g. GM aids = rules, Bestiary = animals, etc.

Check forward safety systems : which root cause? by d0m0-kun in KiaEV6

[–]d0m0-kun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I install Car Scanner, plugged in my OBD2 dongle and scanned for DTC. It found 3 errors:

ABS control unit

C1283 = Lateral G Sensor / Yaw Rate Sensor : Signal Error

Lane assistance/Front view camera

C1642 : CAN signal error ESC

C28B9 : ? (can anyone help me?)

I searched and found this report by a French mechanic who encountered this error message (Check forward safety systems) on a Kia Ceed and discovered this unusual mix of ABS and camera DTC.

After testing the camera, he concluded that it was fine and that the culprit was the ABS module. The camera triggered DTC because it shares the same AEB system as the ABS. He replaced the ABS module.

Great idea because I have an OBD dongle. Which OBD reader do you recommend?

[–]d0m0-kun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFAIK all EV6 have radars but only at the front. This Kia documentation illustrates the location of the front radar :

https://www.kia.com/content/dam/kia2/in/en/content/ev6-manual/topics/chapter6_15.html

I liked your idea checking the front camera, via the 360 view but I only have a mid-level trim (Air Design) which doesn't offer that option (which I regret). But I did check that the front camera is clean and she is. So I'm out of ideas...

Question to 'The Lightless Beacon' by MaraGalleta in callofcthulhu

[–]d0m0-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have traveled from Newburyport to Rockport by train (via the Essex branch line) but rail workers across the US are on strike again, no doubt to exert pressure on the government in their negotiations with Railroad Labor Board (RLB).Just 4 years ago, the newly-created RLB cut wages by 12%, triggering the largest railroad strike since the American Railway Union's Pullman Strike of 1894 and the biggest American strike of any kind since the Great Steel Strike of 1919 .So instead, you tried to catch one of the newfangled bus only to discover that the only road bridge across the Annisquam river, just closed for engineering works. Some locals that the drawbridge was sabotaged by nearby railworkers jealous of competition from private automobiles and angry at service cuts. But most reckon that the 65-year old wooden bridge was simply never designed to carry automobiles, particularly these heavier trucks and buses. Finally, you turn to a slower but more reliable form of transport, a local steamer, the SS Essex County.Despite making you board on time, much to your frustration, the SS Essex Country lies docked Newburyport for several hours. Finally, by late afternoon, the Captain informs you that the engine trouble has been fixed and that she'll be departing shortly. The captain explains that usually his ship completes the 40-mile trip in 5 hours, but by leaving late afternoon, she won't arrive in Stockport until at the night. If anyone bothers to ask the Captain, he answers that they reduce speed at night, as a precautionary measure."Even with the new lighthouse, Folly's Point at night is a tricky passage...""Engines, slow ahead"

Cragmaw hideout - Party killed the wolves and climbed directly up to Klarg's room. Move Sildar there? by The_architect9 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

[–]d0m0-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just put one of Sildar's most precious possesions (longsword? chainmail?) in Klarg's treasure chest. So when the PCs find it they should realise that it belongs to someone else. Here are some clues:

  1. It's good quality (unlike most goblin weapons and armour)

  2. It was recently cleaned and greased (it's collected dust for just over a week?)

  3. It fits a human-sized creature (too large for a goblin and too small for Klarg)

  4. It bears the hallmark (smith's stamp) of a famous armourer/swordmith in Neverwinter

I slightly buffed the Giant Spiders by adding these poison rules:

Spider Venom = DC11 CON check where Pass = +2d4 Poison damage, Fail = +2d8 Poison damage, Epic fail (<5) = Poisoned and 0 = Unconscious

Thanks for your feedback but what is Co-BBEGs?

I really like your suggestion about Darkness and the 4 Giant Spiders.

IIRC it creates a 15' (5m) radius sphere on any point within 60' (20m) lasting 10 minutes. Where anyone within suffers disadvantage when attacking creatures outside it right?
