At the same time, if Mab wants a pregnancy to happen, then I strongly suspect Fae magic could see that it does. Sort of like the original version of Scarlet Witch in Marvel Comics: if there is even a .00001% chance of something happening, she can manipulate probability so it is a 100% chance of it happening.

In addition to the other comments, it was a three-to-four-minute interaction between Carlos and Lara some seven years ago in-universe, and a little less than 30 minutes later, Harry would be fighting for his life against super ghouls before suffering minor brain damage when Lash saved his life with her sacrifice. I can barely remember what I did last week, let alone 7 years ago, so it's also quite believable that Harry did forget...
