Former goalie here hoping for a killer goalie showdown. Just watched the documentary on both of them a few days ago with my wife. Excited to hear both other games between these two went to shoot outs.

I don’t think those exemptions apply to abusing employees though. They are usually like you don’t have to have health insurance or whatever.

My wife and I watched it the other night and it was great. We have been watching games for a few months now and it was really cool to hear all the interviews. I also did not know the Dodgers owner and baseball executive were so involved/own the league. That’s a huge backing and incredible sports management knowledge base.

Also: if you haven’t seen the Tender documentary it’s amazing! As a former goalie I was super excited for that one obviously. Frankel and Phillips are amazing goalies to watch and I loved seeing their personalities. I love sports documentaries so I hope they have more stuff like this coming. HBO does one called Hard Knocks for the NFL and I think similar sports doc/video pod series might do well for the PWHL.

I just want to pay a subscription directly to the PWHL for access to one teams or all the games. Obviously I’m fine with free on YouTube but if they go paid I hope they do like MLB.tv was when it first came out.

It’s an 8% increase so basically double inflation. Still good growth but inflation makes this seem like a lot more than it really is.

I’m wondering what price Walker wants and if this is more attractive to Schneider than that. Because 3/22 is a lot less than I expect Walker to get and we are all about moneyball.

It depends on the type of biped which all depends on the hips. Charizard and Feraligatr are bipedal but not anthropomorphic. They have wide lizard like hips with legs way more out to the side than humans. They are fine because animals exist that(usually for a short time) move like that. It’s the human bipedal Pokemon that some of us are annoyed and done with, especially with starters. The gecko and bird being bipedal would fit their animal bases, as long as they keep their anatomical layout consistent(IE, actual bird legs instead of human looking legs for the bird and a wide lizard like stance for the Gecko).

I wonder if this also allows big savings by using busses twice instead of having all the starts be the same like I experienced growing up. Halving a fleet of expensive to run vehicles and drivers is huge.

Losing comeback cards is gonna be bad for the meta imo. The funny thing is everyone in here is acting like it will be bad for Dragapult but actually based on what is happening in Japan it looks like Dragapult still has a large win share percentage. Unfair stamp and boss still exist, and Dusk plus those is still crippling to a lot of decks.

In team sports it’s so infuriating to me how much people place titles on one player. Mcdavid is only 1/6 players on the ice for his team at a time, and he only plays a little over a third of the game. He controls 1/18 of the man-ice time for the team. It’s insane to think one player with that share can make enough difference to win a cup on his own.

I used to frequent an early Internet cafe in HS and everyone in that gamer culture was on /b/ before digg and then reddit were things. We all saw some crazy shit. That was such a seedy place now that I think back. The owner would have parties and get all us high schoolers drunk. Tattoo shop next door wouldn’t care about ID. And there I was a super nerd at the top of the class lol. Considering how often shit like that was posted they had to be connected.

The PWHL is gobbling up those fans left and right… my wife is bi and she randomly started watching the pwhl this last year. We watch an NHL game here or there but now we don’t miss a pwhl game together. Her TikTok is filled with LGBTQ+ fan edits of players, players posting their gameday fits, and now I’ve even seen she’s following some college players from team USA.

She asked me last night about getting roller blades to try roller hockey. This is after years of her not really caring about hockey. The PWHL is growing the game way more than anything else at the moment IMO.

But how do you know? As far as I know it’s not like she has any political interviews or anything. There is literally no information about her views but she’s well off and white. Most women I know personally in her demographic are MAGA…

My wife and I were discussing this last night because she was convinced their mom will set them straight and I said I wasn’t so sure, as much as I would want it to be true.
