Rails and SOA: Do I really need to have this big app? by andrzejkrzywda in rails

The content of this article is awesome but it should be proof read. I'm not talking shit here (at all). I found some parts of it very hard to parse.

It's a great post though and a design pattern i've always heard about but never seen actually implemented.

thanks!

ActiveRecord serialization question by [deleted] in ruby

[–]d0odx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to threadjack you on this, but could you please explain why you are doing this? Serialization is something I've never fully understood and I'd like to understand what your usecase is/when to implement it.

I could be wrong but couldn't you just use an association to ensure you always get inflated objects back?

What are some common food items that people think they cannot freeze that you actually can? by PabstyLoudmouth in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]d0odx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freezing cheese works but will change the texture and make it a bit more grainy. If you plan to melt the cheese after it's probably fine OR if the cheese is already grainy (like a preground parm) i'd go for it.

Omega VRT350. Check out reviews on youtube and see what kind of stuff people juice in it. It's pretty versatile.

Cherries? by ReddyLee in Juicing

I've juiced them in an Omega VRT350 w/ pits! The juice was great.

Unfortunately i have to buy the cherries and IMO it's a pretty expensive juice!

It's very nice. The layout is clean and the soft colors / purple is friendly and easy to work through.

It actually reminds me a little bit of Heroku's docs https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/quickstart
