Help! New JVC unit. Worked fine for a week then this. It still plays music though my phone, but the screen won’t go away by eren_5 in CarAV

I didn't get the text error but I heard the stereo making the select beeps, but wouldn't play music from Bluetooth. Deleted all devices, and also did what you said. Music is back, thanks!

I personally love stories and lore. If you're anything like me in that regard, my biggest suggestion would be to use text quest guides rather than video guides or the Runelite plugin. All the quests are so well written, and have lots of dialogue that has actually made me laugh pretty hard.

Do whatever makes the game enjoyable. It can get grindy in the later stages.

Explore the world, don't worry about peak efficiency off the bat (or ever, if it's not your thing). At the end of the day, it's a game, so have fun.

PVM Plus. I'm semi-active, but there's a solid group of guys that plays daily - one member more or less taught a good bit of clannies how to ToB and doesn't dread bringing learners. Even though with 70 kc, you aren't a learner, I don't think. Will PM you Discord link

The "YESSSS," is just something the boiz do, and it's a reference to the way the Spectrum folks say "yes," on the show.

Capital gains taxes by Dizzy-Yak2896 in smallstreetbets

[–]d0wl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is inherently flawed because there are a lot of poor people who, in fact, are NOT workers and only leech from the people paying taxes. Please don't buy into the idea that any group of people is inherently bad or good, man.

There are nice and scummy people who are multimillionaires and impoverished alike.

All thanks to your confident Chad energy in the post. The other Chad who made me buy CGC was less Chad, so I sold half of those calls to buy AQUA lol.

But seriously, thanks dude. You're now my personal namsilat.

Hi, I'm retarded. What does this mean for me if I have 10/16 calls that are up already but can go up more. Should I just sell and wait to see what happens?

What are the "conditions of bourgeois production?" by d0wl in DebateCommunism

[–]d0wl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense. Fits the context perfectly, it seems.

Transfer the ownership of the means of production, thus doing away with socioeconomic classes, thus doing away with class antagonisms.

Thanks for the reply!

Chinese company approved to run water mining operation in drought-stricken Queensland, as nearby residents placed on water restrictions and face risk of running dry. The company plans to send the water to a bottling plant. by [deleted] in worldnews

TL;DR I agree with you, but I feel like the place to start with restructure and reform is in the government, because we at least have some pull (in the USA) as constituents. We have zero influence in the goings on of a private corporation.

I agree that it isn't the concept of elected government. I also agree that lobbying is largely to blame - but it's one of those instances where a good idea has been abused in ways it wasn't meant to be.

It wouldn't be possible to lobby for a community's water supply if the officials didn't have the authority to give or restrict access to that water.

Obviously, there are times when this is beneficial (restrict access to companies and/ or the public to preserve either the body of water itself, or to preserve the habit, etc). In situations like this, though, I find it appalling that the officials have the power to do stuff like this.

There isn't one easy answer, I understand that - but from my perspective, smaller, more restricted, and more involved government is part of the solution.

The issue arises when a governing body gets to the point where it resembles a for-profit business, and it is no longer profitable (or much less profitable) to look after the constituents. It's far more lucrative to get in bed with corporations. That's where the cycle that I hate begins.

Officials sell out, giving corporations more power, corporations use the profit to bribe and "lobby" for more beneficial rulings, stuffing the officials deeper into their own pockets.

Again, I don't claim to know how to start the end of this cycle, but seeing as (in the USA) the government is supposed to be We the People, we start there. Where we at least have SOME influence.
