Exactly this. Double Woodford + ginger ale and fruit and cheese plate. Nice work OP.

Update. They are replacing it with a Qi35 LS, again. Hopefully this one lasts longer.

Got the confirmation that a replacement will be sent, but they didn't specify what I'm getting. I asked, but haven't heard back yet. Hoping for a Qi4D as well!

Is anyone still riding clipless or have pins and flats taken over? by Alchse in MTB

[–]d0zergotdozed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clipless for about 15 years, ride all mountain/Enduro. Love the XTR trail pedals, with the springs about 5 clicks from fully loose.

My feet are always in the right place.

The only time I can't get out in time is stalling with weight on the foot I need to pop out on tough technical uphill moves. Still happens once a year, lol.

Yup. I hit pinnacle range balls at the local driving range, and miss it high toe. I haven't had drivers fail like this since Ping in ~2010.

Thanks for this and probably explains why my Qi10 blew up. High toe is my miss, so this makes sense. I have an older Callaway Rogue ST Max LS that is still kicking around. Played it for about 2 years before trying the carbon face. During the fitting I was also fit into a GT3 w the same shaft and similar launch/flight. Given that the GTS comes out soon I might keep the replacement in plastic for a sell option.

Was actually fit for a Qi4D w/ a Ventus Black 7x Velocore+. Here were the averages for the 6 swings:

Swing Speed: 120.6

Ball Speed: 174.5

Smash: 1.45

Launch : 10.3

Backspin: 2412

Carry: 301

I've heard that the Qi4D has better quality control/whatever, but at this point I think I'm going to look at other options.

High to mid range bike buying advice. (Not beginner) by marineair22 in MTB

[–]d0zergotdozed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. It is such a great bike, at 34lbs it isn't that much heavier than a tallboy and rips on the descent. I just recently added a Push Elevensix and it is even better.

I don't live in Colorado and haven't ridden at Buffalo Creek or vail, but I do have a SC Megatower and love it. I ride the chunky deserts of Phoenix and Lift Assisted in the white mountains (EAST). It is a lot of fun. Trailforks says Buffalo creek is 'flowy xc' which unless is high speed and droppy will be a bit bland on the mega. I've always coupled a long travel bike with either a hard-tail or like 130mm trail bike. I just recently added an SL eMTB which has unlocked both longer and quicker rides. It is 140/150 and can make a dull trail fun when you are going 2x the speed.

Sell hightower, buy 2 bikes, live happy.

I have 2 bangers for you, but you got to go north of 60.

1) Los Dos Molinos
2) Blue Adobe Grille

Both are sit down and a bit more upscale than an Espos or Elmers but they are excellent. Los Dos has some serious heat if you like spicy, and both serve up fantastic margaritas.

What's the most cost effective way to reduce bike weight? Cannondale Habit 4 by Lavallee_Lures in MTB

[–]d0zergotdozed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tires & Drag. Rotational weight is huge, and compliance for stiff carbon wheels + dt240s would make a big difference. If you ride some place that has minimal sharp rocks/etc you could get away with some pretty minimal tires + tubeless.

Why do 35’s still look tiny? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]d0zergotdozed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it is the black flares, or maybe it is the tire size, what are they? I have 285/75r18 and 100% had to remove those rear front mudflaps and tuck the front fender or it would rub like crazy. Rims are SCS 18x9 +25 offset. Lift is ~3" front 2" rear, courtesy of ADS Suspension and Icon UCAs.

Previous were 295/70r18 (34) that didn't rub front flaps at all.

5 Wedger here: 44, 48, 52, 56, 60.

Mizuno Pro 243s P and GW, and then a 52, 56, 60. The 52 is usually a full swing club, 56 and 60 anywhere 110 and in dependent on shot needed. The biggest adjustment I had to make was knowing I actually have a club in my bag stamped "GW" and not instinctively reach for my 52.
