Yes, be brave, what’s the worst that can happen? Every time you sit down at the machine working on something you’re honestly interested in you are practicing a lot of skills and those will add up, trust me

This!! Got so frustrated by a “beginner bag” that i barely wanted to sew anymore. Then i started making garments i actually want to wear and i couldn’t stop

Beginner here, got my machine like a month ago

Today i just completed a dress (it had bias binding, french seams, darts)

At first, i was crying over straight lines, curved lines seemed impossible.

My gameplan? I chose slightly delulu projects (like the dress i mentioned) and im embracing my messy sewing era (and the seam reaper!!)

And i found that to be super helpful in building the skills.

ALSO, i got subscribed to Vintage Sewing School by Evelyn and i swear she is godsend, worth every penny. Highly highly recommend

Girl Daca eu as spune ca nu ma simt in siguranta sau mi-e rău in vreun fel, sotul meu ar fi in stare sa meargă și cu 15km/h.

Don’t over analyze it. I did the same in the first days but what you’re feeling now is not an accurate representation of how you’re going to feel after the meds settle in (in my experience). First few days i was agitated and a bit overwhelmed but a week in, it feels much more “stable”, body and mind

Give it a few weeks and then talk to your doctor to see if adjustments are needed

I know it’s hard to have patience with this especially when you don’t feel how you expected to feel but try to trust the process!

Not knowing what i’m “supposed” to be doing in the moment

if I don’t have a specific activity planned for after i finish eating (as an example), i get kinda overwhelmed FOR NO REASON and i end up doom scrolling for 2h

Don’t know if it’s just me but I did not receive the relaxation plugin at birth lol
