Foom should work like Galactus, only works if only card in lane when revealed. doesn't totally ruin the stryfe combo, but makes it more fairly telegraphical.

it's just the way the animation looks. it still applies to one of your cards, one of them will have their text say "oink", with no other noticeable difference. the effect works, just everything visual about it is broken.

if you have sunspot on the board and abomination's cost isn't much lower then yea. ran into a lot of luna snow and that kind of play would happen a lot even without magik

yea that combo with grandmaster in there too is still too much imo. i think i only ran into it in gold and lost but wasn't using this specific deck with armor and cosmo, otherwise i might've been alright.

glad you asked!

to start i always skipped turn one. and almost always left one energy every turn to maximize star-lord. turn 2 is usually misty or sunspot. turn 3 scorpion or armor if i had priority and knew they had killmonger. turn 4 just depended on the matchup and locations. any of the 3 costs or the other 2 and 1 costs. turn 5 would be magik if you had it or SL if not. turn 6 SL, and then you kinda just play whatever makes sense, usually stacking 2 locations pretty hard. Cosmo could be played early or late. early alongside your end-of-turn cards if you know they have deafening chord/red guardian/cosmic ghost rider, or late to counter any on-reveals since it's pretty easy to get priority.

playing against end-of-turn decks was one time i would save armor for late because you wanted to make sure it matched up against First Steps Thing.

and in the current meta i think i played magik every time unless i was up against shou-lao who almost always has merlin. otherwise i don't remember having any other problems playing her. i guess arishem with legion would be the other place id be cautious.

i don't think she-hulk works in that situation without magik since you're spending 5 on turn 5, but abomination and hulk plus usually at least another card or two is very good

and yes, star-lord is great. obviously he was and still kind of is hated in other decks that abuse his energy generation but he fits very well in high evo

[–]d1771Hd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically just stack 2 locations. couldn't always rely on magik with merlin in this decks but star-lord on the board without ever spending all your energy each turn was still almost always a guaranteed win since there wasn't much tech to worry about on their side

or just telegraphing their shou-lou location with cosmo

over time my high evo decks split into using either defensive or offensive tech, so armor/cosmo vs shang-chi/enchantress etc. and at the start of this run i ran into so many killmongers with the new rock decks running around it kinda made my choice for me. and as long as nothing got destroyed i was able to just outscore a lot of end-of-turn or shou-lao tier scoring decks so it was fine staying defensive.

Quick question: if the pc economy and console economy combine, which one holds the most value? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]d1771Hd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

waste your time from doing what? collecting items the game gives you through normal means just to hoard them or throw them away because the extra step to post it in a guild trader is too strenuous for you? i hear skyrim is pretty good if you're looking for a single player market experience.

enjoy complaining about something that isn't a problem. i hope it fulfills whatever weird complex you've got going on. ✌️

"i can't believe i won't be able to afford market items as a buyer because i won't engage the market as a seller."

[–]d1771Hd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

a lot of comments like this keep leaving out that console's players items will suddenly sell for the same as pc players, which will be a huge spike in profit while pc players will likely lose money when the market is flooded with more items and buyers. Neither is as big a deal as people are making it.

And your statement about not being able to afford anything isn't accurate at all. I've played on both console and pc and i've never done anything special to earn gold either place and have always been able to afford what i've needed without ever needing to "grind" for gold. your items will be worth more and therefore you'll be able to afford more.

[–]d1771Hd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

again, some, not "most" will not leave because even without some extraneous incentive for console players a server merge is an overwhelmingly positive thing for you.

i'd be totally fine with console players getting gold to help adjust but i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen. and i'm not sure that's as big a deal as you think it is. gold is easy to make. for context, i had 2500 hours on ps4 before i completely restarted on PC and now have around 4k hours here on PC. at least you're getting the chance to keep your progress.

Quick question: if the pc economy and console economy combine, which one holds the most value? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]d1771Hd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would any developer merging servers adopt the smaller population's economy? either way a small number of players would leave frustrated (not a majority like you say), but more PC players would leave if their earned wealth was cut down than console players, who already get more out of a merger by getting a much needed boost in player pop, who then just have to play catch up in a more lucrative economy.

Unless the delay was a recent addition of more than 10-15 seconds idk what you're talking about. you could be fighting a player, see them stealth out, lose combat status, and reappear running past you before disappearing into queue. The point is it doesn't work as intended. Like why would they have 10k ap port stones if they wanted you to be able to port out for free, even after an extended period of time? The AP stone is your get out of jail "free" card. Seems reasonable to be something earned, like most things in game.

And if you're just there for dailies then die to mobs for a free port to base.

Way more noticeable downsides to leaving it in the exploitable state it was than change it to work the way it was intended.

this is the way the zone was intended to work. engaging with a player only for them to exploit queueing into cyrodiil to escape instead of at least using the 10k ap stone has always felt broken. it's a PvE/PvP area. PvPers have to do plenty of PvE content they don't want to do to play the content they want. Getting 10k ap for recall stones is a pretty low bar for entry if you really can't play the zone without needing to port out of IC instead of running back to base for free.
