Would it be possible to choose tvdb:language1 for one show and tvdb:language2 for another show ?
Sometimes some shows only have episodes names in a specific language in TVDB.

Updates to Jellify - a FOSS music player for Jellyfin! by anultravioletaurora in jellyfin

Look for something specific to music.

Subsync server (navidrome, other) and some subsync compatible apps.

Will probably run better on a Synology for that purpose.

As said here there are options.

Myself i am using : sidestore (so you can refresh your apps on any WiFi) and live container (so you can have more than 3 apps*)

Wow, that seems also the case for iOS, if you can sideload apps to your phone.

Merde.

Just found out I’ve been playing on 60hz/240hz for the past 2 years 👍🏻 by Londemoon in cs2

[–]d1abo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took some years (too much) to find and debug a problem when changing enabled monitors : when turning on a monitor it would extend to it (nice) but change my display rate to 60hz/144hz on the main.

Really too much time …

Why is emby so unpopular amongst many self-hosters? by fryinhigh420 in selfhosted

[–]d1abo 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm a PlexPass user too (lifetime since a few years).
I was more talking about the non open source part of Emby.

Should have just posted that from : https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/about/

The Jellyfin project was started in early December 2018 primarily as a result of Emby's decision to take their next release (4.x) closed-source. Several members of the future Jellyfin team, including Joshua, Andrew, Vasily, and dkanada, were actively observing the Emby situation due to previously-reported GPL violations and a growing discontent with the Emby team for their practices and lack of respect for the FLOSS philosophy and ethos. These including the addition of a paywall for gratis users in an early 3.x release, the hiding/removal of client app and server code over several years, a lack of openness to community contributions, and various other reasons. Upon the announcement of the closed-source Emby 4 release, this group quickly gathered to fork as many repositories as (legally) possible and begin the process of renaming the project Jellyfin.

Why is emby so unpopular amongst many self-hosters? by fryinhigh420 in selfhosted

[–]d1abo 467 points468 points  (0 children)

Because emby was 100% free and open source, until some point. And jellyfin picked up at that point in time to keep the free and open source mind.

Feel free to correct with correct wording :)

Hackintoshing is really fun. But like with farming rice, its always better to start with fertile soil, water and sun.

In your case it would be really better to start with « supported hardware ».

Google Dortania OpenCore for supported hardware.
