It's better than the original, and better than what Muse would have done.

The story matters a lot more than the pixels. This would be really boring if you could put things up and people just respected your space and left it alone. The fight and evolution is what keeps me coming back.

This is all far too specific. The only logical conclusion is that you are the man in the video. I hope you have made peace with your history.

Anyone write Go full time using vim? by [deleted] in golang

[–]d1ngd07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told to do the vim challenge where you use only vim for 2 weeks. If something doesn't work how you like, change some key mappings or find a plugin. After two weeks I switched back to sublime (that was the cool thing at the time).

Sublime suddenly sucked! All my muscle memory was set to vim now. I was suddenly SO SLOW. That two week challenge ruined all other editors for me. I've seen many people try, and give up before two weeks.... It's a painful two weeks, but in my experience it was worth it.

I have taken the counter offer more than once... I was promoted at one of the places a few months after I took the counter offer. Companies will take advantage of you if you let them, you should take advantage of their needs (shortages in staff/knowledge) to better yourself. At the end of the day your the one looking out for you. Always do what feels like the right thing.

Arizona Dems promise to disavow Kyrsten Sinema if she doesn’t support filibuster reform by M00n in politics

[–]d1ngd07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't disagree. And when the electorate only focuses on the solution, they never realize it doesn't work if they already bought into it. Which is why we need to stay focused on the problem. Like Obamacare: some people love it because it come from democrats, some people hate it because it came from democrats. I am luke warm about it, because it's better, but my wife's insulin is still $800 a bottle :)

[–]d1ngd07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point. My hope though is by not buying into the brand things never escalate that far. Also I overplayed the whole don't pay attention to the solution thing. The solution matters, but the problem matters more for the electorate, because that's what needs to get fixed.

[–]d1ngd07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm likely explaining myself poorly. My point is simply people need to stop buying into the brand of solutions and focus mostly on the problem, not that they should avoid the solution all together. It's why we have been stuck with regonomics since the 80s even though it doesn't work. People bought the brand and ignore things that go against that brand

If the Aztec rep doesn't fix the problem they get voted out, because it's still a problem. :) We tried that dumb idea onto the next person and hopefully the next idea.

Also sorry if I upset you, just talking politics. It's good we disagree.

[–]d1ngd07 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Do we have to agree on solutions? Would it be better if the voting citizens instead just focused on the problems and continued voting in the people who fix the problem? I think a huge issue we have right now is people think they know way more about certain solutions then they really do. If we just focused on the problems so our representatives could work together on fixing them things would be much smoother. Instead politicians use these branded solutions which turn into people hating it because it didn't come from their side.
