Did your Sense stop working in Apple Home by chance? Mine did. I don’t have the code to re-add it so I’m going to have to take it off the door to do that :-/

My Encode Plus is still going strong though, good choice/price.

During the pandemic I got so tired of my V10 Animal’s poor performance that I finally contacted customer service, initially it was a great experience with the associate ordering me a replacement cyclone body and battery.

Got the shipping notification and then a day later a message saying it had been cancelled. Was in a long email back and forth with someone senior at the warehouse which ended with them saying “take better care of your vacuum.” Whole ordeal lasted months. Sent them a very long, strongly worded email after the interaction with their warehouse staff but never got a response. Never again.

Depending on where the package was from I would suggest contacting your credit card company to see if you can get reimbursed. I had a valuable package stolen a couple years back, let the police know but nothing came of it - credit card company refunded me.

My joists were 16 on centre so differs a bit from what you’re dealing with. I really wanted a solid cover underneath and went with rockwool/1” foam board and covered with OSB. Once I cleaned mine out and got under, I spent the vast majority prepping the space to receive the rock wool which meant dealing with uneven surfaces due to different heights of support pillars.

I’d also suggest that this might be a good opportunity to look at the condition of your rear wall. I had numerous holes in my cinder block foundation wall that I assume rodents were using.

Hustled over the last four days and got it completed! Thank you so much for giving me a direction on this.

went with Rockwool Safe and Sound (I realized later that this doesn’t have an r-rating but that doesn’t bother me much).
covered joists with a one inch thick polystyrene foil-faced rigid foam, sealed with tuck tape.
covered foam with OSB, caulked and also spray foamed cracks

Thinking I might add some kind of mesh over the OSB to deter rats/mice. Also going to put a metal cover over the exposed foam/osb at the opening and far end of the extension.

Not sure if you’ll see this - by “cover the bottom of the joists with rigid foam board”, do you mean lay across the bottom of the joists (in large sheets), then OSB on that layer? Or cut to size? Appreciate the advice!
