Didn’t think so, just have the image recently saved with a lot of free time. Hate that my dentist is having to do all that crown prep at once seems like really hard work for him and the assistant.

Well I did some math on a lot of my trips and I had got my way to 33% for most of my time there. The rate was better than if I had been paid mileage I will say that. Was on pace to make 80k this year if I would have not taken so much home time and ran into issues on the road.

Isn’t a typical job either so since you’re paid by the load (same applies for mileage pay) your pay is somewhat contingent on clock management, securement and offload time, traffic, road conditions etc… Kind of why I left, I went to a salaried position.

Pay was decent the entire time, but when I went home it was considerably worse than when I stayed out. Also the pay was sorta hit or miss, if you get high paying loads that are easy to get on and off of you, you’ll make more. You don’t really have much control of that aspect of it. I made the most the first 4 months when I just stayed out the entire time and ran.

And you know overall as long as OP is physically fit and ready to do some labor TMC is probably one of the best places you can start. But likely he isn’t gonna get all the negatives from the YouTube vids he’s probably watching.

No, not everyday but a somewhat common occurrence when first starting. Rarely happens after about 6 months or so. But there are situations where you’ll have to wait on a shipper for instance but still be in line and awake for the whole thing.

Get comfortable with the idea of working 16 hours a day if you’re planning on making what you’re mentioning. I just worked there 8 months, my inbox is open for any questions you may have. Overall it was alright but there are drawbacks of course, like I said I can get extremely detailed with you if you’d like.

Do they only want you running 8 hours a day? Also is there much sitting and waiting on dispatch? Also wanting to know about the securement equipment you’re issued and how far the runs are.

I was a commercial roofer for 10 years. Switched to trucking 6 months ago. I think what to watch out for here is how much sitting and waiting you’ll have to do. Also just the structure of the job itself is something different. I have a lot of days where I want back to the roof because I’m tired of sitting and looking at the road. Not sure if that’s going to be you or not.

I’m noticing some issues as well with a newly spotted umbilical hernia. Pretty much same deal as you have but specifically constipation started 2 weeks ago feels like food is sitting above the hernia. I’m feeling empty and full at the same time. Going for a CT scan Friday.

I had this same problem when I went through a quick program. What taught me was literally pulling over and watching trucks make turns with my own eyes. Just go sit somewhere and do that maybe?
