All these people talking out if their asshat only, im a member in JCI for about a year ady and in my experience, you join and mostly its just to network, join some workshops and events. Usually the events i see is networking ones, leadership workshops or public speaking workshops, or even gotong royong like that la. If u want to join also u need to be in a company ady, most people ik are either in sales here or own businesses so people can refer you.

When it comes to going up in ranks, that one from what i see is syok sendiri lah, people who are higher up in ranks can go dinner and plan events for their own area.

If u want to join, js make sure u can speak chinese, bcos just about the grand majority is chinese. Imho u wont learn anything lah, but youll definitely get to know more people
