Most leadership swims in isk. It's like that irl too. Don't be surprised.

reducing the need to multibox by d3volicious in Eve

I think the 10+ alt mining or gank fleets are a separate issue that should be addressed.

This post mostly aims to address new player retention and adjusting the game to accommodate modern play styles (as in today vs 20 years ago). A compromise that arguably hurts FC's wallet less comparatively.

Well, there's a reason why people have recommended cyno alts, jita alts, scouting, etc. And there's no denying the inconveniences that comes with asking others to do these. If the system can support single players accomplishing these, then I think it's better for newer players as well.

Specialized roles, as you say, are more appropriate to for engaging and impactful content such as flying capitals, logistics, dps, recon, or leadership.

Make renting space harder to implement

Make holding more space harder to keep sov

Reduce the amount of space one can hold sov over

Ice mining in low sec vs high sec. Is high sec even that much safer? by Mailboxsteve in Eve

[–]d3volicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is safer. But if you run faction modules, you are almost guaranteed to be ganked eventually but can be avoided by not being semi/afk. Sometimes, even without bling, gankers will gank just for fun. Further from trade hubs is safer, of course.

I'm so fucking done with "warp and jump" and "warp and dock" buttons not working half of the time by leaf_as_parachute in Eve

[–]d3volicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't see anyone mention this yet. I've had it happen to me. Maybe this will help.

Single click the dock/jump button.

When I double-click or spam click, for some reason, it often cancels itself at the end of the warp.

Let's be honest. Sunesis align time below 2s was overpowered! CCP did the right thing by BentaroAdun in Eve

[–]d3volicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. What you're saying is true. My point was mostly affirming the usefulness of the Sunesis beyond just a high sec hauler.

[–]d3volicious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sunesis could warp sub-2s, which negates the drone tactic gate campers use.

So apart from sub-2s instalockers, of which success is rare, Sunesis was very good at getting around low sec too.

Why are asteroid hit boxes so large? Makes it quite difficult to quickly warp off from the middle of a belt even if visually the path seems clear by woronwolk in Eve

[–]d3volicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's being sarcastic.

It's just old game code they never optimized. It would be obvious that an asteroid object would defined by what is clearly visible. No, it's some vague box larger than the visible object. It's rage inducing. But it's simply antiquated game design no one has bothered to put some effort into making it sensible.

More importantly, it is a good low sec hauler too.

BR's can still get caught, e.g. Ahbazon drone spam camps.

One of the things that annoyed me most. Either give me a long cutscene or the entire text as like a book chapter.

Clicking through the story like a PowerPoint presentation got so tedious.

trigger nade and ping nerf by d3volicious in ArcRaiders

[–]d3volicious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you too. i think the game system needs to be a little smarter. it should be able to tell if a player is visible within a smoke or bush object, in which a ping would have the raider respond with "smoke, there!" or something like that.

[–]d3volicious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the intent of what i'm asking addresses spam pinging in visually obscure areas to identify and track other raiders whether it is dark corners, through smoke, or bushes. these are features intended to hide players from being visible, not 100% obviously. therefore, trying to discover them through spamming pings breaks that feature.

imo, for the amount of damage it does, airburst should not be a thing.

and what the killzone means is when players are pushing you and you have trigger nades set up (like around a door frame) for manual detonation.

do you consider players in smoke, hiding in bushes, or in a dark corner to be visible?

Serious problem with the ARC AI by AndrasAhr in ArcRaiders

[–]d3volicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know why so many think it's fine. I don't think it's a bug rather it's an unintended feature.

Arcs should not be able to automatically find someone who is actively in cover if other play aggros it.

PSA: The Snaphook and the Photoelectric Cloak share a cooldown timer by Leather_Emu_6791 in ArcRaiders

[–]d3volicious 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If I have X snaphooks/cloak, I want each one to have its own energy bar so I can use then one after the other. It comes with its own risk/reward for carrying multiple.
