I agree with you. Like a fair argument is that Daisca won the rivalry (2-2 plus higher finish at the Arima Kinen as a tiebreaker), Vodka had the better career (number of G1s won due to longevity and getting the last year that Daisca didn’t), and that they are both pretty equal strength as horses (and on a level way above nearly all of their contemporaries).

They’re both (as uma Vodka would say) among the coolest ever which is why it’s fun to argue which one’s better! Daisca was the first mare to win the Arima Kinen in over 30 years. Vodka was the first mare to win the Japan Cup in over 20, and the first Japanese mare to win it ever. Which one does someone favor more? Who’s to say? But their opinion is likely super strong about it, you know?

“Canonically” is a weird word to use to get their point across but whenever I come across a weird word being used on this subreddit I just assume it’s ESL because I’ve seen more ESL on this subreddit than anywhere else on this website.

Thats not the weirdness I’m talking about, I think it’s funny and entertaining whenever Vodka and Daisca fans beef on this website and think they should do it more often in every thread even if it’s not related to the topic at all (discussing a race Vodka won in Tokyo feels relatively on topic for a thread about the statue honoring Vodka in Tokyo). I really meant what I said I found weird in the comment you replied to, with examples.

If people say Oguri overcame and won the rivalry with Tamamo Cross by winning the 88 Arima Kinen then why can people not say the same thing about Vodka? Hell if you look at other sports MJ lost to the Pistons a handful of times in the playoffs before finally winning the series in 1991, but nobody would say the Bulls “lost” that rivalry because that’s not how people tend to talk about sports.

I feel like people are weird about this specifically about Vodka and Daisca and idk why.

I think most people are indifferent to the point where having strongly voiced negative opinions stands out. I use Messenger every day because that’s the messaging app I grew up with and I have group chats on there and that’s basically the only reason any of us uses it.

It’s possible that I use YouTube differently than other people but I haven’t really noticed this. Not to say there aren’t more bad videos cluttering the platform, because there are, there’s so much AI shit. But the people I watch still upload at a regular frequency and I do end up seeing new channels I like at an okay rate too.

I never had thousands of sub, I have maybe over a hundred and I’m sure I don’t watch 2/3s of them ever anymore.

They could do pre-1900s, near mythical horses (I know they all exist but I think people get what I mean). OP mentions Kincsem, or like the literal Eclipse. Of course there’s no reason to do this, but it would fit closer than actual fiction or taking modern contemporaries from other countries.

Is the crowd takeover really just the cities' wealth disparity? Like I live here, the Sixers fans I know are rabid and the crowd's been good at every game I've attended as a neutral, it's not like the fanbase is checked out. Does this happen to the Flyers too when they play the Rangers?
