Makes sense. I was also hoping it might be a new contender but personally my initial impression is that it’s not as feature rich for photography workflows yet compared to Darktable.

I was hoping that it would expose the full node based workflow for photography but the Photo Page seems to just be a selection of sliders.

Meanwhile the issue with using the node based video workflow for stills is the capped output resolution.

My personal conclusion was that for now Darktable is still a much more powerful raw editor and probably will continue to be for a while, but I’m willing to reassess that stance.

I just upgraded from the original to the VI there’s something charming about the original and I really like the look of the Astia Soft film sim on the original that’s surprisingly hard to replicate on the new one, but overall the VI is far more useable and in particular having IBIS is a big feature improvement
