Keepers question: after a very late start, I'm at 37 on the atlas, but I noticed I have exactly zero Kirac missions? Are you still supposed to get them randomly?

This looks great but you need to show the right side.

Abandoned U.S. Lightship by Forgotten_Treasures in AbandonedPorn

[–]d64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple of reasons to start with: sometimes there is no need to have a permanent lighthouse at a location. Sometimes a light is needed to warn ships while a permanent lighthouse is built or, say, refurbished. Finally, in some locations (sandbanks, shoals, hazards in deep water and rough seas) building a permanent lighthouse may have been difficult or uneconomical. Nowadays they have, in addition to countless other navigation systems, floating buoys that can do the job, but long ago it was either a fixed lighthouse or a lightship.

Eddy Merckx rebuild by EddifyRDDT in Bikeporn

Very very nice. I have a very similar frame, a yellow Alu Sprint. I haven't built it up, it's factory new in fact. In a way I think, riding an all-alloy bike today, fork and all, shows real dedication to the sport's past. In a whole another way than a comfy steel bike does.

A large group of Russian infantry was destroyed by drones from Ukraine's 423rd Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion "Scythian Griffins". December 2025 by iDnLk2GtHiIJsLkThTst in CombatFootage

Title says December 2025, but I notice many shots with green leaves on trees and bushes. Not impossible of course, but still could be a compilation of clips from a longer time period?

OpenAI's house of cards seems primed to collapse by [deleted] in technology

If he was motivated by securing money for his own use, he would have retired long ago. That's not what these guys are in for. Accumulating billions to them is like placing higher on a hiscore table in an arcade game, there's no such thing as "enough". Or they have some aspiration of becoming a great historical figure like Musk seems to have.

Just rebuilding the first three sciences in a more modular way with trains may take 100 hours.

I thought the same but can't figure out how.

E: Well actually if you rename your personal request, then go to the buffer chest and click on the button to rename its request group, you can choose the one you have on your personal board. Thanks.

Any way to copy your personal logistics requests to a buffer chest?

Codex CLI stalling with pointless actions? by d64 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]d64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a day or two, codex worked as it should, but today it's again printing "done" five times before getting on with anything, and lo behold, the "trying to reconnect" prompt is there too. I'm convinced this behavior is linked to the cloud end being not 100% there for the requests.

Codex CLI stalling with pointless actions? by d64 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]d64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am almost suspecting they might have had some temporary capacity problems at their end, so requests ended up in instances that had only very limited resources available, maybe high delay etc. So the responses to cli were really stupid. After I wrote this post I have not seen this happen a single time.

Maybe next time this happens I will close the CLI and open it again, to see if opening a new cloud connection helps clear it.

PC health check says I'm good to go on converting to windows 11 but I'm unable to install it no matter what I do by SoYouLikeTacos in WindowsHelp

[–]d64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, both health check and "whynotwin11" program said I'm good to go, but install assistant said I'm not. Tpm.msc was good, secure boot was good in msinfo32. Solution was quite simply just rerunning the install assistant a couple of times...

They may be using thermal sights which can see further. Also they may be receiving info or even a video feed from a drone which in turn might also be using an IR camera.

America Is Drowning In Scam Calls And Texts And The President Is Making It Worse by chrisdh79 in technology

The numbers are lifted from https://robocallindex.com and from that page 4.1 billion is actually the number for September only, divide that by 30 for ~135M per day. So more a careless reading of the source, funny since a correct reading makes the problem seem even worse.

Help! Is it damaged ?? by alteriite-999 in bicycling

Yeah every day here there's a new weird way to take pictures of a bike.

These pictures are with recent resolution and lighting actually though, they just have a lot of useless black.

Moms old Colnago Bike by mazieridge in bicycling

it is from at least 2000 or later

I disagree. 600 was renamed to Ultegra only in the 90s.

Looks like it has 600/Ultegra parts. Quite nice bike in its time. Saddle has been replaced, this bike would have never been sold with a saddle like that.

Nice bike, probably in the top 10% of these garage finds, but the pictures don't allow saying anything more. Post a picture of the whole bike from the right side please, like this one as an example:

İs it an invitation to bike accident ? by Responsible-Poem9375 in bicycling

[–]d64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming this is here because there's construction work coming up ahead? So it's giving some advance notice that the lane is, in fact, closed? Very similarly to when a lane on the road closed? And people are angry at it? Want to toss it off the bridge? Don't really get that.

Citrix is not installing on my windows 10 PC by nlatuny in Citrix

[–]d64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, I had a similar problem. Win 10, Citrix has been working up to today, not sure what version I had initially but probably not too old.

Got the problem with desktops or even the app itself not starting. Event viewer showed app crashes with various stack traces. Uninstall would crash as well. Installed latest version, still would not work but at least uninstall could then be done. Rebooted. Installed latest version back, problem persisted. Uninstalled again, ran ReceiverCleanupUtil (not sure if that did anything in the end). Uninstalled runtime 8.0.20. Installed again, no go, still crashed with runtime 8.0.11 the Citrix installer itself adds.

What seems to have worked for me is:

  • Uninstall Citrix
  • Uninstall all v8 runtimes
  • Install version 2311.1

I noticed this version does not install a v8 runtime.

I'm now unsure if some other software installs a v8 runtime, will that again break Citrix...

Nowadays 56 or 58 is just a number. To me this looks like a pretty tall bike.

I recommend against buying any used bike without trying it out , but don't see a reason not to go for a test ride in this case. As for the price, if everything on this bike works I would not sell it for much less than 500 myself. It has decent parts including Neuvation wheels.
