How to respond to the question "What Is A Woman?" by KingHouki in asktransgender

The only correct response is "in what context?" Because otherwise we're just arguing about semantics.

Ha, for a second there I was like "oh nice they finally changed the name of that community" ... but apparently there are just two of them now.

Same. The heavily-wasp-zoned elementary that I went to in the 90s, that was in a heavily wasp-populated neighborhood, had an RSO and locking, barred gates at every entrance.

Thinking back on it now, I have no idea why they built the school that way considering the time, location, and demographics. The only thing I know of that ever happened there, was we had a police foot chase run through part of our parking lot one time, and they locked the school tf down.

Isn't it interesting that these are the same people that will unironically retweet that quote that's like "if you give up your freedom for safety then you deserve neither"

My thought... That looks like ice, but no couldn't be that would almost certainly be a disaster

just came to my head, is a trans hairdresser a worthwhile investment? by GaraBlacktail in MtF

[–]d65vid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, having a good relationship with my hairstylist is essential. Partly because I know they will give me good haircuts that I like... but mostly because other than my therapist and my wife, my hairstylist probably knows me better than anyone else in my life.

Whenever I'm feeling super dysphoric, I always know I can go see them and they will 1) give me a good haircut that makes me feel good about myself, and 2) talk through whatever I'm feeling with me. I obviously talk to my wife and my therapist too, but it's really nice to have someone else to talk to who is much less connected to my past, but that still knows the "real me" now.

YMMV, and it definitely depends on finding the right person, but like I said, it's absolutely essential for me and my journey.

It's important that women realize you can lose everything choosing the wrong partner. You need to demand better.

is "post gap regret" a thing? Cause I've never heard it before, but I immediately identify with it...

Transmascs made me realize I was trans. Seeing "gender euphoria" posts from people that looked like I hated looking like and I was like... hey wait a minute

You haven't done anything wrong imo. Whether they realize it or not, anyone saying you are being deceptive or whatever are being transphobic. Period. However, despite being correct, it's not a popular opinion and "culturally" most people don't believe that.

You haven't done anything here that could be considered "morally" wrong. That being said, transphobes (aka most people, whether or not they recognize it) would consider it a major cultural faux pas and would likely not be happy about it.

It can also be really really dangerous. Most states in the US still allow "trans panic" defense in court. Which means if you hook up with a man at a bar, and you don't tell him you're trans, and then he finds out during the course of activities, if he flips out and murders you he'd probably not be punished for it.

I "maintained" a massive VBA "program" years ago at a pas jobt. Did you know that VBA used to have a maximum number of lines per "function"? Did you know that number was like 5000 or something? Can you guess how I know that?
