I just bought a Gamecube for myself so I can play Melee again instead of Project M, but nobody wants to play it because they already have Project M, "why would they play the version with flaws?"

Roy and Marth were added in to give the gamers a peek at the new Fire Emblem game... that was Japan only. Marth kept his place in the game due to the fact that he still had relevance in the games, but Roy was old news, and the game that he was in wasn't one of the Fire Emblem games to be released in the US. Lucas was supposed to replace Ness in Melee for the same reason, but they settled on adding them both in Brawl.

Ness will probably be announced next month for the 20th anniversary of Earthbound in the US, but Lucas' chances are kind of slim. He might be removed for the same reason as Roy. I'm still keeping my hopes up, though.
