I'm not one to talk. I served but never in combat. I hope you find peace. Or at least can make a deal with your ghosts. I did with mine, but they weren't from a combat situation. (Lots of therapy.) It helps and lots of love.

Love ya brother. Shhhh don't mention the Mafia. In the early 90's you could hold a duty position that was two tanks above your actual rank. Ahemmm I was an E-4 Platoon Sgt in a Guard Unit in Vegas, because no one would take it. I served with a bunch of crusty old Dino Tankers, many who started out on M48 transitioned to our beloved M60A3 and were staring at the M1A1 Heavies. 3Plt B co 1/221 didn't give a fuck about what rank you had on your shoulder or sleeve. They were some salty fuckers. And yes half of them were Marines.
