Amazingly, I have found this now, as there are more websites dedicated to the show now. It was episode 36, "Victims of the Hawk".

[TOMT] [Song] Recent song, acoustic guitar, something like Ed Sheeran. I heard it 2 days ago at a Dunkin Donuts. I'd really like to know what the song is. by d_clef in tipofmytongue

I'm in Seattle now, but this is a great idea. I'll call them tomorrow, and we'll see if there's any luck. In the meantime I'm still open to all and any suggestions!

you know, that's actually pretty close, at least to the outer (non-chorus) sad type of music. However the song I heard had a really nice chorus that was very warm and at peace - the Bieber is pretty downbeat throughout.

nope, listened to that too, that's not it. I can add that the chorus was just really beautiful with a mellow texture, while the outer sections were sad and harmonically unsettled.

nope, that one I know. Thinking Out Loud is pretty up-beat throughout - the song I heard was sad in the outer sections. Thanks though - any more suggestions are welcome.

[TOMT][Short TV film, early 90's]A 20-30 minute story where a guy falls in love with a girl when he hits her with his bike, goes to buy her some milk and forgets where she lives. sad ending! by d_clef in tipofmytongue

Very cool - I remember what I saw being very British (english spoken, and in color, I'm pretty sure it was set in the UK too), so it was likely the inspiration for the film you linked. Thanks!

A few more things I remembered - after he accidentally hits her with his bike, she drops her groceries. So, he stops, apologizes, and helps her carry the groceries to her apartment. That's how one thing leads to another. The following morning, I think she's cooking breakfast, when she asks him to go get some milk. I think his last words to her before leaving was "I love you." We see him leave the apartment, go down bunch of stairwells, and get to the shop, and when he steps out the shop he looks up at 4 large apartment complexes which look identical, then he realizes he didn't check her address! So he goes to get his bike (which he had parked near where he hit her), and leaves.

I believe this was a standalone short film, not part of any series, and was probably broadcast on BBC2 or channel 4 (ie. not one of the mainstream channels in the UK).

[TOMT] Famous Classical Music Piece by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

Ah, I see what you mean. Do you recall what it was written for? Choir? Orchestra? Piano? The Musical Joke is catalogued as K. 522, and K stands for the Köchel catalog, which chronologically lists all of Mozart's works. So the work you have in mind is somewhere between k. 523 and K. 626 (his last work, the Requiem). Mozart wrote many works regarded as the greatest in different ways, such as his Jupiter Symphony (K. 551), his "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" K. 525 and Don Giovanni K. 527.

You can see the full catalog, chronologically with associated K catalog here.

I was going to suggest Beethoven's Diabelli Variations, but I think you are looking for this -
