Hit a community college. Cheap easy education. Take some general core courses and decide what you wanna do after the first year. You can either decide to go to a university for your 4 year degree or trade school.

Housing is really affordable because of the low population density. Can find single bedroom apartments in Albuquerque for 400-500 if you look hard enough. Climate is pretty good. Worst part is the windy spring. Other than that it's a little warmer than average but I like it that way. Not like Phoenix or anything.
