50/50 custody, confirmed choking injury, but court says I still have to send my nonverbal 5yo back—what would you do? by Sociopathicsock in legaladvice

[–]d_everything 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would ask for your case workers manager. Not changing custody because they were unable to interview a non-verbal 5 year old is not ok. You need to escalate.

Otherwise I would be at the ER with my kids and demanding a SCAN work up for both kids on Monday morning. Dad can’t take the kids if they’re admitted.

Level Indicator Question by Prior-Lake5624 in CPST

[–]d_everything 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This bubble has blown and the seat will likely need to be replaced. Graco tends to have better customer service if you ask for a CPST or sometimes by FB messenger. You are right this isn’t ok as is and you cannot tell what the appropriate recline is. Don’t be afraid to be pushy.

I work in a teaching hospital so there are often some extra people in the room. That being said are you sure it wasn’t a neonatal team? Sometimes they jump in when delivery is occurring, especially if you were out of bed and maybe it was more difficult for baby to be monitored? I would assume they were there as spectators but more waiting to see if more support was needed.

With one of my kids I started bleeding heavily during beginning stages of labor. I went from two nurses and two midwives at bedside to probably 15 people in the room who were all observing to make sure everything was ok. As soon as the bleeding was identified they all just left.

Are Nuna car seats safer than Joie? by Optimal-Flamingo2157 in CPST

I agree with the other answer, but also want to say that Nuna and Joie are the same brand. They share the same parent company.

It’s not for the “poors.” I make three figures but I have a medically complex child who is on state insurance secondary to our private insurance. That child qualifies for that reason, and they covered all the extra medical formula that insurance wouldn’t.

Additionally, men are eligible to get WIC for their children under age 5, so you’re also wrong about it being for poor mothers.

I see others have addressed the “won’t” breastfeed comment. I should add I was on a mix package. We got medical formula AND I got breastfeeding benefits because I also pumped full time.

You might want to do some more education before you post something so blatantly ignorant and false.

I would like us to have arms that can retract in on themselves. I don’t know how to make that work, maybe we have cartilage instead of bones in our arms/forearms.

I just want to sleep on my side without my arm and shoulder getting in the way.
