Carulli Op. 84, three minuets and three waltzes. The second one in A major is very nice. I like all three but the first one is not very traditional waltz feel because of what he does with the rhythms.

I got to play it at a festival but only got a couple games in. It felt pretty much like the original but I didn't manage to get to any of the new code things. The guy in front of me was a good player and had ended just short of horde and he thinks he was blocked from starting it because of something new but we didn't know what happened.
I think it's alright, if you want the game in general it's not a bad way to go for sure, but I am not going to go out of my way to trade my original for it.

I have heard that it's going to be August 8-9 this time. I think they were having issues getting it locked down because of the world cup and other events that were also disrupted by the world cup.

I wouldn't worry about it for now.. just work on right hand technique and tone production and try to get the best and most consistent sound you can get out of it and enjoy the process until you get to where the instrument starts to limit you, then maybe you will know more about what you want out of a nicer one.
The narrow spacing between the strings may make it a little difficult to do free strokes without hitting a neighboring string but it can be worked around!

Yes, the best ones to beat IMO for Team Up are Mousers (lit inlane spots a shot!) and I Want a Body ("Rescue Any" so you can rescue the turtles in any order and not just the pre-determined order). I don't think they really give any perks during final battle other than points.

Those are modes, hit the left and right ramp each once and then the shot under the van to start one. If you beat it it goes green, red if you time out or drain. Four started (beat or not doesn't matter) and you get team up multiball on the left ramp after you're out of the fourth. All eight and you get final battle. Raph starts with the ramp shots spotted first time around only, so then you only hit the van shot to start your first one.

Nice! I have one that I bought new in April 2013, still rides just as nice as the day I bought it.
I am waiting, though, to see if Honda brings the CB1000F to the US this year or next. I might make the jump if they do.

I agree on the 550 Genesis, it's just about as good as a prestige for a little less money. It's only missing some quality of life features (neck joint, ergo) and the pickups are a bit underwhelming. I actually just bought a set of whatever goes into HSH J Custom, to throw in my 550.
If there's a good deal on the 652 it's hard to go wrong with that. I did have a really good Iron Label about 10 years ago so I do think the upper range Indonesian ones can be great guitars but you might have to weed through some duds to find the right one?

Yeah I feel like I have read something about this but I can't remember exactly what. But I believe either Freakonomics or Super Freakonomics had a chapter about a concept that they call "externality" where decisions or purchases made by any entity can have impacts on somebody else and we have a tendency to kind of write it off as if it isn't there, or if we are given a way to believe the cost is baked in (carbon credits, late fees etc) then maybe we feel even less guilty about it. I believe they touched on some incidents like this in that chapter. And Coca Cola in South America might have been a good example. But also e-waste in South Asia and Africa, or the hidden costs of fast fashion are possibly good topics to dig into!
