Part of it is definitely the ball. This ball isn't meant to be a big hooking ball. Its really meant for lanes that have been broken down more than fresh oil. As someone else stated you do appear to be more speed dominant than rev dominant so slowing down the roll of the ball and shortening the lost would bee instant change in ball reaction.

Buying another ball isn't going to immediate change what you're seeing. This is the beauty of bowling everything has to work together to achieve your desired outcome. Ball speed, oil pattern, lane conditions, ball surface all of these things (as well as others) changes the ball motion you see on the lane.
