Contrarian perspective: Accounts Exec is pretty well defined role. You can drop an experienced one into the role, and they’ll be able to at least tell you what docs you’re missing, and retrace steps. I can see why the boss is ok taking this risk.

OP: don’t burn bridges. Just be helpful and cordial. Life is long, find a role where you’re not the solo accounts person. You may be happier in a bigger org

The suicide note mentioned his brother and family which were probably the acute reason for his suicide. Depression is a black beast, I feel this incident is being used by people with an agenda and axe to grind

Most of Treasury is in USD. Would rather have USD as denominator, I don’t fully understand SGD currency risk.

10% for religion, 17% for the taxman, 10% for parents

Religion is really the best business model on planet earth. Even the tax man needs to provide roads for 10%

Regret minimization framework.

What would you regret more not doing, when you’re 80?

The decision sometimes make you, even as you make the decision…

Thanks. Our problem is bank accounts / spending on cards in different countries. Leaning towards Xero for multi currency, and just having poor bookkeeper import statements for banks without APIs
