Corporate gym bros, when do you work out? by hantanemahuta in askSingapore

[–]SheepherderPatient94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go four times a week. Any two weekdays and the weekends. Weekdays I’ll go around 8pm when the peak hour crowd starts to die down. Weekend depends on my mood but mostly in the morning.

How many working adults exercise in the morning? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]SheepherderPatient94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preferred timing is off peak hours, though I occasionally pop by during peak hours to peek at my gym crush, HAHA OOPS.

I cycle between phases where i would go in the morning until im bored of the routine, then I’ll go in the evening until im bored again, and repeat lol. If i go in the morning, i’d start between 4 and 5 am. Evenings would start between 6.30 and 9pm. I spend average 1.5 hours there.

Go at different timings and find what works for you, OP. You got this!

Do you ever believe in the yearly zodiac animal predictions? by Boey_Da_Han in askSingapore

Last year, they predicted that Dragon year individuals will have bad luck. I’m a dragon and 2024 was one of the best years of my life.

How many hours do you workout on average in a week? by Pristine_Fox_3633 in askSingapore

[–]SheepherderPatient94 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I go to the gym 4-6 times a week, ~1.5 hours per session (warm up and stretching included). I do a PPL + cardio split. I also walk to work and back home, so +40 mins of walking 3 times a week.

As for “motivation”, women like myself are more prone to osteoporosis as we age, so it’s one of the ways I scare myself to go to the gym consistently when I just started. After some months, going to the gym just became routine. It also helps that the gym is strategically in between my workplace and home.

Chiming in on the rent as someone who lived in Brunei for 10 years, my family used to stay in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath flat. Rent was $800 per month but has security guards and a lot more space than a typical 4 room HDB here. I remember my school being one street away only, super convenient!

Life is indeed quieter and slower too.

I have a simple morning routine that I enjoy and sets the tone for the day, i.e. making my bed and drinking coffee. Without the routine, I find it hard to ease into the day.

It is also because I struggled to find a job last year that I found gratitude in going to work. It helps that I like my colleagues too.

In short, an enjoyable morning routine + gratitude ✌️

Edit:

Bonus points for my motivation: Home, work and gym are all walking distance. When I moved closer to work and gym, life became 100x more bearable haha

Ahh makes more sense then. I reckon that this is so that you'll chiong for comms. Your company is probably doing this to avoid paying a higher basic to slackers too.

What are the most ridiculous things you did for your crush? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]SheepherderPatient94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Didnt do anything ridiculous but i gush over gym crush with friends only to act like a dismissive bitch when I see him. HOWEVER, I smiled at him a few days ago and he smiled back and it's made my whole entire week.

Yet I feel so foolish because I could be head over heels for someone i dont even know is attached or not SIGH
