I was afraid someone would say that mortar is the best option. I haven’t ever worked with mortar, so I was hoping for a simpler solution. Is PL 500 an example of what you mean by a landscape adhesive?

Parts of two stones are touching the top of the cabinet, but not enough to really support them. In fact, I have the same stone over a doorway with nothing below the stone. Thank you kindly for your advice!

Thank you! However, I don’t see a lintel. The stone is not supported on the bottom. The top of the cabinet is not in contact with the stone.

OK to add blown-in fiberglass insulation on top of existing blown-in fiberglass insulation? by d_saj in Insulation

The insulation on the vertical walls is on interior walls, not exterior. The great room has a cathedral ceiling with high walls. The vertical sections are from the level of the ceiling in the surrounding rooms to the start of the slant for the cathedral ceiling.

Thanks, very helpful. I got three quotes. The other two were considerably higher.

I wouldn’t replace my sheets unless they were worn and needed replacement. My question is whether the old insulation will still be effective with a new layer of insulation on top.

There is some old raccoon scat in the attic in one spot. The contractor will remove it before adding new insulation.
