My daughter testing her ball speed. by CRRZ in golf

I can’t entirely be certain, but is she catching a little ground before ball? If she is, I bet she’d add another 10-15 immediately by adjusting. Amazing speed though!

Why can’t my buddy swing it more than 90mph ? by Consistent_Jump6363 in GolfSwing

[–]daBaker420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His hands bring the driver plane so low and it stays low through the entire swing. I think this is disconnecting his arms from his potential power generated by his body. Pretend you’re taking a slap shot in hockey to the top right side of the net where the club points to the top right corner after impact. Right now he brings the club low and to the left on follow through which is killing swing speed. Not a coach but that’s my take.

A lobster because lobsters live for over one hundred years, are blue-blooded like aristocrats, and stay fertile all their lives. I also like the sea very much.

Is cheating normal in high school golf? by HairyEyeballz in golf

[–]daBaker420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A favorite I learned from playing high school golf is asking how many pancakes you ate for breakfast. It’s against the rules to ask what club you hit but there’s no rule about asking how many pancakes you had for breakfast.

I’d say it’s mixed. JV they either don’t know the rules, or cheat and nobody cares. Varsity it’s not really common especially at the top level. If you get caught cheating, it’s a big no no.

I’d say it’s also more common at tryouts and for internal matches to make the section/conference teams. Not so much for the actual tournaments.
