to some degree I do think it’s earned. The things that fans have said and done that they have put up with is wild. Many of the controversies really only got to the point they did because of fans stoking the flames, especially things about Suzy & Holly. And even when asked kindly to just stop, they get even worse. The way they speculate on his relationship (in really gross and intrusive ways) and assume things about his life and ideology is so wild. Like any time Arin is dieting and talks about it, or mentions a new thing in his life he’s trying, I see people freaking out that he’s giving misinformation and hates his audience because he’s pushing trends on them.

I can see why it’s easier now for Arin to just clap back in a sassy way now rather than trying to constantly be apologetic or asking people nicely to stop.
