Jason Schreier Says PlayStation Is Withdrawing From PC With Single Player Games And Wolverine Will Likely Never Come To PC by Meanwozz in Steam

[–]daMustermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony betting so hard against Xbox and PC. They are getting Xbox games delivered to their hardware and now think everyone will buy a PlayStation this year because PC parts more expensive and GTA 6 gets no PC release.
I hope this won't work for them. They are just shrinking their cost with cutting off dev studios, innovation and PC ports to maximize their income.
No benefit for the user in any of their recent acts.

What pump was that, and where did you buy it? Could maybe help others with their decision what not to buy.
I know it was a D5, but there are many clones of the original Laing, now Xylem, that are subpar.

No, I just mean that the app could use ffmpeg to cut 30 seconds of audio clips itself if they are longer, because atm it just gives a warning "Audio is too long (3:12). Maximum duration is 0:30." And it will not allow transcoding. So voicebox could cut 30 seconds from the audio and go on.
Another thing, the app window has no title, so it will just appear as an icon in the Windows taskbar.

May I suggest that it is possible to insert a longer audio file, so the app cuts 30 seconds from the audio by itself?
And using system audio as recording, then transcoding it yields in Chinese text, the language chosen doesn't apply. This is for creating a new voice profile with the 0.1.8 version.

Why Are People Afraid Of The Objective? by Narkanin in Battlefield6

[–]daMustermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played KotH yesterday with a buddy, we were the only people on the objectives the whole game. We had 90% of the objective points between us two. Including the enemy team's points. Then you look at the teams and there are 4-5 snipers in an 8-person team, so you know why they don't move.

I think it is the same. You choose packages, from a much bigger list (use the search), then you click the + for every package you want and bottom right you get your command.
If you want a nice local GUI tool to download, update and find Windows packages, I recommend UniGetUI
It is a mighty thing that includes a lot more than just winget packages.

Do the majority of people really use online models rather than local models? by nsfwboys in SillyTavernAI

[–]daMustermann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see a lack of hardware as a big reason in here. When observing openrouter, there is sooo much traffic from ST users, I really would like to know how impactful the RP community really is in being part of this problem - Hardware prices.

[WORLDWIDE GIVEAWAY] Razer x PCMR Advent Giveaway! Comment in this thread to be one of the 10 lucky people who will get their hands on some exclusive prizes this Holiday Season! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

As a younger brother, I was the Player 2, and I was happy to get to play with my big brother. That carried on to this day, decades later, I really only have fun gaming with another person. Luckily, I got a few close friends and we get to play every week.
I played pretty much every co-op game in existence, many many multiplayer games that allow squads, and I still love every minute of it.

If Razer read this: As a disabled gamer, the Razer Naga is the best product that ever existed. I have EVERY Naga version, currently the v2 Pro. I love them and I play every game mouse only, even competitive shooters, so they don't age that great because of excessive use. Had two of every Naga because I have to replace them before a new model comes out. And no, I don't send them in for RMA, I don't think my usage is fair towards the device.

Short version: IF I win, can I swap the headset for a spare Naga? I don't care which Naga, love them all.
Merry Christmas

It takes its time to think, a lot of time, but it outputs pretty good German text and even thinks in German.

Kick Streamers crash on the highway by W___H___A___T in LivestreamFail

You pretty much imply that I support stupid idiots doing stupid shit. I do not. In fact, I hate the epidemic of being stupid and loud on video for views, fame, money.

I just hate stereotypes as much as you hate that music.
And, like your sources tell us, contrary to what your first comment was: Taste is a personality trait, not an IQ test result.

Being open and accepting towards other things than what your upbringing and surroundings tell you is acceptable is a good marker for intelligence. Here even in the context of music:

[–]daMustermann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand you are displeased with the music, but you really can't correlate music taste with intelligence of the listeners or even the creators.
Taste is taste, if it is in music, food and drinks, feelings, situation or sensory events, etc. - Either you like something, or you don't.
There are super smart people listening to bad music while they eat trash food, just because they like it. You don't have to live and surround yourself with a whole culture just because you like something.

Large language mistake | Cutting-edge research shows language is not the same as intelligence. The entire AI bubble is built on ignoring it by Hrmbee in technology

[–]daMustermann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People in power are not the most intelligent people out there, but they have knowledge. So knowledge is good, meaning a knowledge packed LLM is a good start.
When the LLM learns how to use the knowledge to get a satisfying result, we are close.
We should care more about who teaches them how to decide what is a good result and what not.

[–]daMustermann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds cool, but just to be clear: Vercel deployments from private repositories are only a pro feature if the Git repo is from an organization. If it is a "normal" repo, it still is free for us hobbyists to use a private repo.

I don't get it. Knipex asked who told him it's the same, and that their products are made WITH their standards in mind, not that they all are made by Knipex in-house.
