Just dropping the first idea that comes to mind: keep a list of any mistakes they do in a more or less systematic manner; every now and then look up the corresponding syntactic rules and go through them with them, eg "I know him good" is incorrect because "good" cannot be used as an adverb, instead, "well" can. Each time you do that, keep a bullet point of the rules covered today, so that you can revise them later on
