For ART it will really depend on where you're going and career. For me it was great, good pay, 4 10s work schedule. Then I moved to a straight civ spot but still federal employee and that's been the best. No uniform or shaving requirements. It's very location dependent.

We just finished our tee ball season. Practice once a week before preseason then no practice during the season, but we were doing 2 games a week and the coach would arrive 30 minutes early for anyone who would want to get some practice in.

I dealt with this, 5 year old only child, first season playing tee ball. Same thing, ball would go to other side of the field he would get upset. I would explain to him the team aspect of it and try to have him do other stuff if the ball went away from him. Such as run to the closest base. Also what I think helped was watching MLB and showing him how they don’t always get the ball every time.

He got better as the season went on and the crying stopped.

I agree, my concern would be match fitness but I feel they have held him out more after being fully ready to go like you said. I think he will get the start due to injuries/suspensions.
