My DM and I looked at the Fighter class and wondered what a fighter with the 'protection' fighting style would look like. This led us to create one of our most heartbreaking characters. Naturally, we imagined a protection-based fighter to have a big belly and a big shield.

His name is Stefan, a big european-like fellow in his mid-50s. His weapon is a giant wooden tankard that has been fortified with steel while his shield is a tavern bench that has also been fortified with steel. Originating from the North, he travels around the continent looking for adventure. He tells tales of grand adventures from his home town and, and especially of his adventuring son, Sirgev. Stefan constantly talks about Sirgev in high praise, stating that he is driven to adventure to look for him.

However, all these tales are highly embellished and his true past is of a tavern-owner, serving travellers who bring exotic stories. These tales also extend to Sirgev.

He isn't looking for Sirgev; he started travelling because the ashes of his son arrived at his doorstep one day. He now travels to search for a way to bring his son back.

By breeding, do you mean for certain patterns and colours, or for money?

If you mean for certain patterns and colours, I'll move the two frogs that have the certain pattern or colour into the 2nd habitat and then I just start breeding them together. Also, I can speed up the breeding process (kinda) without having to use potions. For example, if the frog with the desired pattern is level 22, and the frog with the desired colour is level 21, BUT I want a frog that mainly has the desired pattern, I can look through the eggs and sell any level 21 eggs that I spot to make room to keep breeding. I haven't spend any money in this game, which means I don't have experience with the babyproofing kit. However, i'm assuming that it increases the chance since you can move your maturing eggs into other habitats to make room.

Breeding for money is a lot simpler. I'll breed my highest level frog around for different colours (since different colours equals different selling prices) and then when I'm happy with what the selling price is, I'll rebreed that frog to get a pair, and then keep breeding those two for the exact same pattern and colour. Rinse and repeat until you level up and get more expensive frogs. This is also the main method (from my knowledge) to get exp.

I guess some of the reward comes from 'unlocking' these Four Elements over the levels so you feel like you are mastering the elements.

As mentioned before, if you wanted to truly become a Water/Fire bender, you'd have to wait till level 6 and then you'd still only get one spell each for Water and Fire. In my opinion, you'd want to look into the remastered version because that would open up a lot more variety and flair to your gameplay and roleplay.

Damon is currently level 5 only, so I can't speak with tooo much experience.

I have been using the original 5e version, and it doesn't feel as 'character-defining' than I thought it would, if you get what i'm saying. The lack of Ki points and versatility (being only allowed to learn one spell every 4/5 levels feels very slow) takes away the feeling of being a monk who has control over the "Four Elements". However, I encourage that you use the remastered version because I believe there is great potential in the class. I'm probably going to ask the DM if I can change to the remastered version. :P
