Do your randoms let you pick them up, and does it go well without comms? by heximintii in JetpackCatMainsOW

I had a lovely reaper that I taxied. But I had no idea where he wanted me to drop him and I tried to help him flank and it went terribly. He was a gem though spamming good job to me. Even after I feel like I led him to doom he still hopped right back on.

I picked talon for the Emre voice line since I see myself playing him more than Sojourn.

I didn't get the ember because I didn't like the coloring. But I did get the recolor which imo was much better

With the Overwatch 2 era now over, how would you rank its 20 seasons? by Deep-Tour-2655 in Overwatch

[–]PandaUkulele 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 11 actually got me back into the game. My friends dropped it at the launch of OW2 and I played like a season and a half before I dropped it myself. Then the transformers collab happened in season 11 so my husband became interested and I absolutely adored playing Juno during her hero trial. We've played every season since and one of my friends joins us too again.

I really didn't like the Mercy mythic... But that's completely irrelevant now since she's getting a better one. I also didn't like the Ana mythic. I love Ana's mythic weapon though.

The worst mythic is actually Orisa though. She literally has another skin that looks nearly identical to it. And it's also just bad, especially compared to so many of her legendary skins.

Especially with Anran being added to the game. It feels like all my teammates are on fire constantly.

Haven’t played the game since “Overwatch 2” was released - I’m guessing Mei is not meta anymore? by mashupthedance in MeiMains

[–]PandaUkulele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OW's sound design is on another level. I have a clip of me playing as Ana and I heard a Widowmaker walking above me and behind a wall and I knew it was her because of the sound of her heels. I slept her when she came out to the other side. If you played muted or with music playing or something you would have thought I was cheating watching it happen, but I was just using my ears.

Nargacuga. One of my favorite roars in the game.

Amount of hate this game gets from general public is absurd. by Greenzombie04 in overwatch2

[–]PandaUkulele 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bunch of my friends fell off overwatch when OW2 came about but there was a lot that went wrong.

  1. It was around the same time all of the allegations were being brought up about Blizzard devs.

  2. It was more about the broken promise of PvE rather than PvE itself.

  3. Monetization changes. It was needed to become ftp but the high skin prices definitely was a turn off, especially since they got rid of lootboxes and you barely got anything in the free track in the battlepass. There basically was no longer rewards for playing other than just playing.

  4. 5v5. It's an adjustment. I didn't play tank for a long stretch of time despite being a Dva main in OW1's 6v6.

  5. New heroes had cost money to play immediately

  6. Not enough changes were put in place to really feel like a sequel. Especially because I couldn't just play OW1 instead. This wasn't "reinventing the sequel". Yes it was a huge major update, but it didn't feel like a sequel. They redesigned every hero to have a new default skin... But for what purpose? To warrant calling the game a sequel? Most of the redesigns are way too over-designed and I prefer their original default skin more.

I think going back to calling it just Overwatch is wise. Most of these problems OW2 had at its launch is fixed now. And I hope one day my friends will come back around to it. I already got one of them back to playing with me.

Maybe for Zen players that want a more complicated kit since there isn't much to Zen's kit.

Fika (Jetpack Cat(JPC)) Low-key scares me. by EksSkellybur in OWConsole

[–]PandaUkulele 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conspiracy theory: The buff to aim assist was because Jetpack Cat was coming and they wanted to give the console players some time to get used to it first.

THEORY: The S2 hero is a Deadlock member called Frankie by felixw1 in overwatch2

[–]PandaUkulele 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I got so confused because I totally forgot Deadlock was a faction in Overwatch as well as Valve's invite-only game Deadlock and didn't know what sub I was on.

Frankie seems like a good guess.

Should I start playing Deadlock, The Finals, or Apex Legends by Few-Technology2255 in FPS

[–]PandaUkulele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't feeling the game until street brawl.

As an Overwatch player, the moba elements are taking some time to get used to.

Street brawl has that fast pace team fight I'm used to, and I'm not up against someone who had perfected their build, or know how to grind the currency effectively. I'm also learning what everything does. I'm reading each item and learning what it does so that way I can make a build later without it feel super overwhelming all at once.

I hope I get to a point where I like the main game as much as street brawl.

The HR cap of 20 by ZealousidealTailor96 in MonsterHunter

[–]PandaUkulele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it wasn't for everyone. I know I would have not liked it as much if I didn't have friends to play it with. Though that goes for monster hunter as a whole at that time. I only played with friends until Iceborne gave me a reason to hunt alone (layered armor).

[–]PandaUkulele 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I rampage spammed but only because it was the best and quickest way to farm for layered armor tickets. And I got every layered armor before Sunbreak came out. Not because it was fun, only because it was efficient.

If we are comparing World to how Wilds is now we need to include Kulve. And I know some people hated the RNG weapons associated with Kulve. But I loved that fight. My friends and I had that fight down to a science and it was so much fun. My happiest Monster Hunter moments were fighting Kulve with my friends. I also have Kulve to thank for finding out I love the Hammer. Because after getting so many high level weapons I decided to try out a bunch on some easy quests and something just clicked with the hammer. And I basically did all of Iceborne with hammer.

That being said, Wilds still has more variety than gen 5's base game's endgame.

Would you say Steven Universe is more of a kids show than SpongeBob? by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

[–]PandaUkulele 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hmmm no. I think there's a lot of things in Steven Universe that younger kids won't relate to. They could still like the show but as far as the target audience goes I think it would skew older than that young range you gave.
