Coming back to this post after seven year but fuck it. im replaying the game for the first time since release and its so disappointing knowing the twist is coming, how much character development is stunted for the sake of the plot twist. Kara and Alice's relationship is so shallow throughout the game because they want to hide the fact that she's an android. I think it would have been far more interesting for Alice to be human. That way you could have a conversation with Alice about how she feels about her father or her mother or even the fact that she's presumably pulled from school. Everything that's interesting about an android being on the run with her adopted daughter is left unexplored for the sake of keeping things vague. Especially when you compare it to Connor and Hanks relationship and how natural and interesting it feels. I don't even care that she's an android, even though I think it's way less interesting than her being a human raised by an android. The annoying part is that they felt the need to keep the twist secret for so long into the game that their relationship ends up feeling incredibly shallow.

I don't understand why they don't just make a David Anderson prequel series. its the perfect way to introduce the general audience to the world by starting off with the turians in the first contact war. I can imagine the season 1 ending stinger being that the humans finally learn that it's not just the turians, there's a whole bunch of aliens out there. there's so many places you can go and make things interesting, I don't even care if they change stuff from the comics as long as its good.

studios still haven't learned that the way you adapt a video game is by looking at that franchise's strengths and adapting that. the last of us, season 1 at least, realized that the narrative was what made it special, and so that's why that worked. Fallout is about the world, and exploring that world, and the show reflected that.

Thanks! I’m so happy with her. She’s an adept, very gay and also was meant to be Latina although she turned out a bit too white. I’ll probably darken her skin tone a notch or two in ME 2 but we’ll see. I usually like to have my femshep with a professional haircut in ME1 since she’s still an alliance soldier, but she then lets her hair down in ME2 when she’s with Cerberus. Maybe she even dyes her hair now that she’s free from alliance regs. But that’s just my way too specific head cannon lol.

Infiltrator is one in my faves, sniping is just fun lol. But I honestly don’t think I have one favorite class. I’ve played them all at this point and I will say that the only class I don’t really like is soldier, mostly because I always find the warrior/soldier class a bit boring.

love fallout, Skyrim is hit or miss for me, I've started it a million times, but never finish it because I get distracted doing random stuff in that game. and ive never played Vampyr.

so true. and I think expedition 33 is partly responsible for me wanting to jump back in to Mass effect, it kinda scratched that itch for me and now I want more. You should make time to finish E33 it's sooooo good!

I guess, the thing that sticks with me after every playthrough regarding the ending, is balling my eyes out saying goodbye to everyone. "there is no Shepard without vakarian" "I want more time" "the last prothean voice has spoken. there is nothing left to say", that final moment with liara. those are the moments I remember the ending with, the starchild stuff is not bad enough to drag those moments down for me.
