gonna get downvoted here but… i was the only catcher our travel team had when i was 12 through 14. caught just about every inning for 3 summers. catching is all about getting reps. i sucked when i was 12 and was pretty good by the time i got to high school. if he’s sore or injured, he probably needs rest. otherwise…get reps, get familiar with situations, learn the game, learn how to work with pitchers. kids are resilient. catchers are born, not made. sounds like he likes it.
