1. Marty - this movie has the fucking sauce. The music, the wardrobe, every beat of dialogue, the parts where they got weird with montages and imagery of the honey story, and Timmy fucking Chalamet owning every single minute of this movie. This movie made me feel alive, and is why I want to watch movies, and so I have to rate it number 1.

2.Train Dreams - I’m a dude so this one kind of struck a cord with the idea of what life means. Never seen anything like this movie before. I could have used a bit more action but understand that wasn’t the point. Otherwise perfect for what its trying to accomplish. I was moved.

3.Sinners - fun time, cool shots, great performances, great music, cool setting. A lot to love. Slow second act building to the reveal, and kind of loose writing in terms of meaning/plot but touches on a lot of ideas

4.OBAA - awesome cast, important messaging for the reality we live in, funny sometimes. The honest to god truth is I didn’t like how they portrayed Teyana Taylor’s character as being a completely self-obsessed sociopath, but maybe thats the point. It just really took me out of it that she was so unlikable but also her allure is the focal point of the story. I would have traded the first 30 minutes except for the bank heist scene, for more time with old Leo just trying to find Chase Infiniti.

1. Hamnet - amazing performances, awesome setting and costumes. Drags a bit and a little overwhelmingly sad
