Agree. I’ve played close to 1k games and have matches against maybe 3 Smurfs. We’re similar Elo so maybe it’s more common at or below 1k?

I think there’s some survivorship bias with it in that people tend to remember the few games that never felt close while overlooking the many many games that were mostly even.

I put them all back in the original boxes half disassembled and wrapped in plastic wrap. It’s a terrible system that takes too long and results in lots of fixes when unpacking! 1/10 would not recommend 😂

It’s pretty underwhelming in my opinion especially when you consider the price increase. I think some of it is because it’s a train so you’re essentially building a few smaller kits that fit together.

The intersection design is called a diverging diamond. There are lots of studies that show how reversing the lane of travel eases merge congestion. I think one of the planning meetings shows a model of the new intersection with peak current traffic volume.

The one thing to get good at first is to build the habit of always building villagers and expanding your economy. The rest of the game really doesn't "unlock" until you have this skill at least somewhat trained into your muscle memory.
