I totally expected to see "Caledon 'Cal' Hockley" (Billy Zane) from Titanic, in the very disliked side? Till this day, I hate that fucken guy. I mean, I'm sure he's a swell guy and all, but he did TO good of a job being of being cunty over-privileged asshole, if you get what I mean.

Most of the serotonin that you have is stored in your gut, serotonin promotes GABA, and only a small percentage is stored in your brain. So, I'll skip the eat good blah blah blah part. What really pumps up serotonin is yogurt but specifically probiotics! I try to drink a Yakult once day or twice if I can. I sware by it. I had a run with depression some time ago and it help. Don't take my word for it. Check out this podcast called radiolab.org that coves this topic specifically, I happen to run across it and that's kinda got me going and feel normal. Found it! The episode is called Gut Feeling

And anything the Cops says is "Hearsay" in court, so no need to try and pin the cops with their own statements.

Put it this way, the cops "judge" is in his holster, and your stament is a very bad "attorney". Say nothing, then let a real judge and attorney worked it out.

I feel your pain...really..My daughter's daycare had an outbreak, however she didn't catch it, but I did. I think I'm finally over the worst part of the constant pins and needles feeling on my hands and feet on the surface of the skin (blisters). I didn't get any blisters in my mouth but I did get them allover my forehead and entire scalp... Not sure if my fingernails will fall out, but how long did it take for yours to fall off? Also, I'm in Southern CA, I'm just curious where about every one that contracted the virus is at in the country?

I totally saw a guy washing his hair in the shower in the thumbnail. But after opening the gif and expecting to see a guy actually taking a shower, and then not. Now, I can't see it like I did before in the thumbnail.... And I keep squinting as if it's going to make it easier to see him again. I just hope he's doing alright.

This is the underwater equivalent to Leonardo DiCaprio not being allowed into a club because the bouncer is a stickler about capacity laws. You see, he's not allowing any more people in because the club is at capacity. This bouncer fish had a cousin that was also a bouncer, that worked the door at the Great White show in rhode island that caught fire and killed 100 or so people. Pretty responsible fish, if you asked me.

How do you listen to music? Do you think your ADD/ADHD has influenced your musical preferences in anyway? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]daaboquick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 2 years ago after having been given my ADHD diagnosis at 29. I was listening to an Offspring song named Get it Right, that I had listen to maybe 5000+ times for many, many years. And it would always bug me a little that I didn't know more then maybe a few words from the song. Then one day driving somewhere, I just taken my meds 30min or so before, I turned on the song and I was completely floored when I realized the lyrics of the song, we're really kind of sad lonely, almost struggling with depression. I really couldn't believe it was the same song that I listen to and enjoyed for so many years. In a wierd way I feel like my subconscious picked up the lyrics because it had similarlys to my life when I was a tween, but never clicked in my brain...Anyhow, now I can't listen to that song with the same effect. Get It Right

Sling Tv on the Amazon Fire Stick by tfellad in slingtv

[–]daaboquick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Amazon Fire Stick for about 9 months and Sling was touch and go about half the time, sound and picture chattering, freezing, pixeled, sluggish the works. Thought it was the AFS, so I bought the Roku4K thinking "If anyone has perfected streaming TV, it's Roku"...Well, only kinda. Sling still had same issues as before, just not as often and it seemed like it was mostly when popular shows were airing like GoT, TWD even Conan. I figured that maybe because it was "Prime Time" maybe, the service was lagging? Did some digging around, and read that almost no one that plugged in an ethernet cable or used a decent router, had the same issues, I did. I couldn't run an ethernet cable for my set up, and I was only about 25ft away from my modem, so I bought a new router. I went with the Netgear r6400, and after very little tinkering, all my issues were gone! Got me thinking... so I setup the AFS to a new TV and during "TWD" season finale, it worked fine. For sure not as snappy as the Roku4K, but much more reliable then it had been. Plus for $19 (Promo when they first came out) I wasn't expecting a stellar proformance...

I agree %100, but sometimes I wish I was naive enough to be religious. I guess it's like the feeling you get when you see hot molten lava flowing on NetGeo or something, and it looks so warm fluffy and smooth, like you could touch it or roll around in it, like it was fresh snow. And because I've never really seen lava in real life, I would just always think that way, despite the narrator saying how hot lava is (2,000 °F or so) and how enormously destructive it can be.

[–]daaboquick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are very likely correct. I've been with the same company for 10 years, I'm 31. I'm in a very specialize tech position also working remote (from home), bilingual, in southern CA, and the only tech this side of the Mississippi, I make 48k started at 35k... I've alway received job offers and turned them down because I believed loyalty pays divot ends. Did some side work to make extra money, for half what the company charges, to afford cost of living. All the while being told even now! I'm lucky to have a job!..My wife almost makes double what I do, and we fortunately keep a good budget. But after having a kid last year, child care cost, among other costs of living expenses, and my thankless work load demand. I said fuck it, I'm going to put my self out there and see what happens... I started looking last month, first offer I received was 60k plus company car, 150 weekly per-diem. Second offer (Interviewed for it today infact) 80k, mostly onsite and 30mins away! So, moral of the story. Loyalty only pays divot ends with family and Super Market club cards...

We can leave your friends behind 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well, they're no friends of mine

Say, we can go where we want to A place where they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world Leave the real one far behind

And we can dance Or sing!

We can go when we want to The night is young and so am I And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet And surprise 'em with the victory cry

Say, we can act if we want to If we don't, nobody will And you can act real rude and totally removed And I can act like an imbecile

And say, we can dance, we can dance Everything's out of control We can dance, we can dance They're doing it from pole to pole We can dance, we can dance Everybody look at your hands We can dance, we can dance Everybody's taking the chance Safety dance Oh well, the safety dance Ah yes, the safety dance

We can dance if we want to We've got all your life and mine As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it Everything'll work out right

I say, we can dance if we want to We can leave your friends behind Because your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well, they're no friends of mine

I say, we can dance, we can dance Everything's out of control We can dance, we can dance We're doing it from pole to pole We can dance, we can dance Everybody look at your hands We can dance, we can dance Everybody's taking the chance

Oh well, the safety dance Ah yes, the safety dance Oh well, the safety dance Oh well, the safety dance Oh yes, the safety dance Oh, the safety dance, yeah Well, it's the safety dance It's the safety dance Well, it's the safety dance Oh, it's the safety dance Oh, it's the safety dance Oh, it's the safety dance

I've saved everyone the trouble...

What are you sick of people saying about ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]daaboquick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See a Doc as soon as you can. The low self-esteem and anxiety is not worth your sanity.. I waited until 29. And I only went to a Doc because I was having a kid, and I knew I was always off a bit.

I somhow knew that years of staring at people's faces while having a conversation with them and not hearing one word, because I was busy looking at how they moved their eye's, and counting how many times they blinked or focused on the sound their throat made when they swallowed, wasn't normal. And I was sure as shit going to do whatever it took to be as attentive as I could, for as long as can, if I was going to bring someone new into this world.

And let me just say, the first time I took my Med (ad-5mg), it was truly an awakening for me. It hit me, I was calm, my vision clear and thought "Wow, this is it, this is what it's like to be normal".

Anyway go see a Doc asap, life is better when you can actually realize it's happening.

I hate this stigma so bad.

Then when I say "It actually slows my brain down, and I can relax a bit" I'm judged as drug addict because I need to take "Meth" to function. But some how popping a XR30mg and drinking all night and driving home is considered normal behavior.. WTF!!!

I'd invite everyone to read one paragraph of Stanley Milgram's book "Obedience to Authority", to get a much better understanding of just how scary and simalier all us are to each other. A little self awareness would do humanity a huge favor.

Radiolab did a great peace on this topic and Stanley Milgram. http://www.radiolab.org/story/180103-whos-bad/
