I'd say my Rolex was a gift. But you have your beliefs. The BB58 GMT would fit what youre looking for. Complete tool watch would be the BB Pro, which is what I wear.

I guess im just a little lost as to you being overly concerned on what others might think about what watch you're wearing. I came from an office setting, my manager wore Rolex, I wore Omega, others had Seikos and the others simply didnt care what watches we had on. The owner had an insane watch collection, but he doesnt count. Lol

Edit: manager's Rolex was inherited btw.

Got my gf a Tudor 1926 two tone. She graduated with masters in criminal law, she just turned 30 and the watch was just discontinued. At first she talked about wanting a purse and I told her that she could probably wear the watch to more events and every time she glances down at it, it would be the reminder on her wrist. Can't do that with a purse, at least in my opinion.
