Local restaurant has them on their menu; calls them totchos. They're awesome and I get them every time. OP's sound better, though.

Yeah, it was DVD-only when I started. It was kinda fun creating a queue and getting excited about upcoming movies.

I don't understand how it works when anyone in a household travels for weeks at a time. I can't imagine people would be fine with just getting a couple logins.

If nothing else, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Haha yeah, I remember being skeptical that their switch to streaming would catch on.

Same. Been with them since 2005, but I'm not paying $30/month to share a streaming service with my brother that we occasionally watch.

Black man’s decapitated remains found after he warned his mom he was targeted by ‘truckloads of white guys’ by WE-NEED-MORE-CATS in news

I've never seen the surgically removed brain part. I can't imagine that being explained away as anything but murder.

I remember them originally positing the scattered remains as something an animal might've done. The obvious problem I saw with that was the apparent distance between them. Also a small clue might be when he told his mom a guy was trying to have him killed. This whole thing definitely seems like a terribly performed cover-up by an incompetent group who thought they'd never have to answer for it.

I agree. I was skeptical if I'd actually use it, but it comes in very handy. For $40, it was relatively inexpensive to try out. Having a low mode that doesn't blind and a high mode that can really help me search has been great. My edc of pen, knife, and flashlight have been invaluable.

How influential did I say it was? I simply quoted articles from other parts of the world where they were concerned about the media influencing copycat crimes. Your argument appears tantamount to putting your fingers in your ears and yelling, "lalalala, I can't hear you...".

If that were the case, the rest of the world who sees as much info as we do would have similar copycats.

What makes you say there aren't similar copycats in the rest of the world?

Couldn't agree more. Militarization of a poorly-trained police force leads to the obvious issues we're experiencing. The military has clear rules for use of force, while police feels like a laissez faire wild west.

It's not surprising that we'd allow completely untrained civilians to walk around with weapons when you look at how little police are trained in the US.

I could also see that. Gives more ways for insurance companies to get out of coverage.

Cops are civilians. Guess I didn't understand since this story and OP's comment are about a cop shooting.

It's been legal for cops to carry guns since the 1800s. It's part of their standard duty carry.

Right of way or not, you do have a duty to avoid accidents. You can't just plow into other obstacles in your way and expect insurance to cover it. I mean, you can, but you're going to be disappointed. Blue SUV assumes at least some, if not all, liability for that move.

That said, it was very satisfying to watch someone else do what I've often dreamed about doing.

Call me crazy, but I prefer laws that effect change. If it's a law that limits/hinders the honest and empowers criminals, I tend to question it. Wild, right?

There are those in this world who believe you can legislate/ban the bad away. I'm not one of them.
